Oh, en passant. Follow ContextTV, as of tomorrow, I will initiate the most devashtating destruction of a demonic death cult that tried to harm my team. Small, slow, systematic and successful. Attack me? OK. All good. Attack my team? If this were a "game," about to switch from Cyrus mode to Alexander, before I finish the job via Genghis. You know who you are. youtube.com/channel/UCFpCSkp…

Anchor Investor Pipeline — Expanding the Funnel The strategy is to broaden the search for an anchor investor beyond Montréal while preserving local leadership and giving Québec investors a compelling reason to participate. The key addition is that AK can serve as the Montréal-based deputy and, subject to MLB approval, Designated Control Person (DCP) where appropriate. This could make participation more attractive to international investors who want exposure to an MLB franchise without personally relocating to Montréal or managing its day-to-day affairs. It also creates a competitive dynamic for local investors: the opportunity to anchor the restoration of the Expos will not remain exclusively available to Montréal capital indefinitely. If our local anchor, Mr Pennypacker was the only option, YES, despite his verbal commitment and interest, he may backed out. So we need to keep him honest, so to speak, knowing that I could fill in and have a xeno/khâreji step in. Will cover this manana on episode 1 of "how can we be helpful" on ContextTV.

I hope "baby boy bean counter" and "banker wanker" stick to the stink of the cockblockers at EY and RBC. Oh... butt hurt by my candor? I'm your Freaking client. Fire me. I'll send you transfer instructions to move my cash.

Louder, for those in the back: a 7th generarion billion dollar baby will never compete with a 1st generation immigrant entrepreneur. Bet on the right QB, and win. Bet on the pedigree, and lose. Simple.

Again, a freaking American serving Montrealers more & trying to help than the sycophants and billionaire dollar babies Montreal seems subservient to. Bring it. Capital attracts capital. I now have 2-3 daily calls with people offering money... I ain't got a place to deploy it to. And, I have the financial model to make even the most exuberant franchise fee work. But inasmuch as "baby boy bean counter" cockblocked me with MLB, "banker wanker" doesn't want to help with NBA because he ain't driving the wambulance. F these mofos. And yes, MLB and NBA may think "not sure this Ash guy will fit it," but they also love that I am exposing these weak sauce false prophets. You know who you are.

Who is the bigger wanker—and obstacle to the people's aspirations? The bean counter who tried, failed spectacularly, and now seems determined to keep others from succeeding in bringing @MLB @Montreal_Expos back to Montréal? Or the out-of-touch banker we all thought was a genius who could bring the @NBA to Montréal, but apparently couldn't close a deal—or even open a door? You hear that? That's the sound of millions leaving @RBC. You have a week to get your act together. One week. 25 years of misplaced loyalty is enough. Montréal doesn't have an ambition problem. It has a gatekeeper problem. Bring it. Also, I am DONE praising these billionaire heirs who hoard wealth, do nothing, offer nothing and get butthurt when we say stamata.

The @WatchMojo suggest tool was a key piece of our editorial strategy and allowed me to centralize feedback & ideas. Eventually, we outgrew it and it served its purpose. Now that we have a growing community across X, Facebook, Linkedin, Reddit etc. I needed a way to get feedback on a forthcoming Top 10 @Montreal_Expos players of all time... so I asked my team to update it, and boy it looks slick. If you wanna vote, go f'n crazy. Linked in the replies.

Pretty sure Westmount residents will be calling the cops given the strange places I've been walking my Lily to for the pics...

Given the many questions I receive about financing the return of the @Montreal_Expos, tune in to @contextisking's ContextTV on @YouTube this weekend for Episode 1 of “How Can We Be Helpful?” I'll try to thread the needle across various topics and perspectives, including the ineffective, ineffectual and sometimes downright counterproductive behavior I've encountered among the very professionals who are supposedly paid to facilitate capital formation, job creation and economic development. I'll break down the investor landscape: angel investors, venture capital (VC), growth equity and private equity (PE)—who they are, what they do, how they differ and what motivates them. While I'll try to tie everything back to the Expos Restoration Mission, we'll go well beyond baseball. I'll share what I've learned—the good, the bad and the downright absurd—from: - Pitching more than 100 VCs in WatchMojo's early days; - Investing in 20+ companies and funds; and - Managing my own investors over the years. And trust me, managing a PE investor is a VERY different experience from pitching a VC. But it won't only be about investors, because they are not involved with operations. We'll also touch on professional advisors. Somewhere along the way, too many people confused being a gatekeeper—or simply being intellectually lazy—with being a constructive, value-creating partner. I get it. We're all prostitutes in one way or another. But if you're going to be that transactional, perhaps you're in the wrong racket. There are far too many accountants and bankers in Montréal who seem to be remunerated for cockblocking rather than facilitating opportunities. I can think of no other explanation. Honteux. If you're not going to help, at least stop getting in the way. The series is called How Can We Be Helpful? for a reason.
