one thing to know about me is that I have a good poker face about things that don’t involve me personally but absolutely none for things that do

hi. 6'5" here. shopping sucks. traveling sucks. have to watch your head a lot especially when visiting old submarines or the old country (Europe). can’t be an astronaut. and if you don’t like people looking at you, good luck. but other than that it is cool

I'm 5' 10" and I really don't see how dudes 6' 3" or higher manage in this world. Nothing fits, not clothes, not chairs, not beds, not rooms, not houses, not cars, not airplanes....Nothing. Everywhere one goes one will have bruised elbows and knees.

ever have a moment when things are cool and then you find something out that makes you furious and it changes your entire evaluation of whether things were indeed actually cool

half my LinkedIn feed now is a former UI/UX coworker who got laid off in January and now comments all day on how terrible AI is. quality, ethically, as an affront to taste, and so on. he’s been getting harsher and harsher as the months go on
everyone I see struggling is ANTI-AI. I see zero people pro AI who are struggling. A lot of people struggling are simply because they are anti ai. its like not adopting the computer in the 00s.

kinda hoped “toaster” would become the epithet of choice for our robot creations there’s still time
I think one of my favorite parts about my new job is that we refer to AI internally as "clankers" and I just like that term.

developers love Claude Code because it constantly gives Scotty Estimates “I expect this will take about 2-3 days” and it’s done in half an hour
