🧵 incoming: this is foreshadowing the avoidance of fixing the problem and I’m about to lay out exactly what’s wrong and what’s right with the things that were said. I’ve used quotes from articles from this one, Reuters, and Dallas Business Journal cnbc.com/2023/03/14/southwes…

🚩5, no mention of lingering costly FA and Pilot contracts, nor of the pilot strike authorization vote set for the end of April. Just ignore these @jpmorgan, nothing to see here

Final 🚩, SWA brass doesn’t even believe investments are best in their own company so tread carefully That’s another story that will be broken open soon, but is yet still relatively unknown. However SWA Chief Financial Officer Tammy Romo knows *exactly* what this refers to

I struggled to find one positive comment on this tweet. The customer is over it. Even free bags seem to have lost its luster at this point. Fix the company now. Treat pax and employees right. Offer transparency and take ownership of mistakes. Time for new leadership.
Bag fees <<< That's it. That's the tweet.

When you fly, show love to your crew. You never know what they’ve been through and a lot happens on those planes People don’t see the medical emergencies for which they’re responsible, even if theres no medical professionals on board The job is so much more than a paycheck

I’ve been watching this again. Is it just me, or did very few of the oxygen masks deploy? If so then there’s probably a whole list of new regulations and inspections coming up the pipeline
Passenger footage from flight WN3923 which made an emergency landing in Havana due to a bird strike The aircraft was safely landed and the passengers were evacuated via slides due to the amazing work of the pilots and FAs They are all fighting for new contracts from Southwest

These sort of flights are dangerous and taxing. When this can happen at any moment without warning, doing your job is a real risk. This is part of the reason that crews deserve to be paid well and covered medically as a part of their new contract. businessinsider.com/southwes…

Reminders for pax to remember it’s their turn and music, because they think it will make them hustle into seats. All intended for faster turn times. I’ve got a few ideas for better boarding, would love to hear yours wsj.com/articles/southwest-a…

The bottle neck is folks at the front. As long as they’re boarding no one in the back can. Maybe send a smaller group of boarders for the rear of the AC first? But that requires assigned seats Old SWA also used different tickets for windows / aisles / middle

If you were wondering where Flava Flav has been (hasn’t everyone) the answer is that he’s been performing at the Southwest rally. With JoJo. And Flo Rida. Who apparently performed so long it felt like he had mando’d overtime.
