EVs are already nearing upfront ICE cost parity but new @AtlasPolicy analysis validates that EVs are cheaper to operate (electricity $<gas $) and maintain (e.g. fewer moving parts, no oil changes) than ICE cars.

With December EV sales data in, the growth in sales from 2022 is now clear.
In 2023, 1.44 million new light-duty EVs were sold in the U.S., making up 9.8% of all new light-duty vehicles sold.

America's manufacturing boom is due largely to Biden and Democrats' three big bills: the BIL, CHIPs, and IRA.
