SCIC announced on October 7 that the interest-free period for outstanding 2026 Crop Insurance premiums has been extended from October 31 to December 31, responding to harvest delays and variable conditions.
Deadline to register post-harvest claims, submit production declarations or request an extension of insurance remains November 15. Producers with crops left in the field can request extended coverage for winter yield and quality losses. Production must be reported before a yield-loss claim can be registered.
