Deeply saddened of the news of Patrick Stewart passing away.
My first memory of him was Dune. Along with King Arthur. Then along came Captain Jean Luc Picard. I developed a love with his acting and the character. No one will come close to him.
I lived near Ashland, Oregon where it is known for their Shakespeare Festivals. Patrick Stewart asked to perform there for a season and the city denied his request for fear of Star Trek fans overwhelming the town, ruining the experience.
I would have watched him perform daily.
