I actually think the conversation should be about how the writing doesn’t give Oliver the opportunity to show his range at all. He’s been given the same cycle of angst and depression for the last 3 seasons that feels one note.

‘HEATED RIVALRY’ is reportedly filming Season 2 and Season 3 back-to-back. A standalone film described as a holiday special centered on Scott & Kip is also being planned for theatrical release next December.

This is why the extended opening emergency format has ruined the show because now you have people comfortable with sacrificing storyline for spectacle. Nashville, the alleged flop of the franchise, has introduced personal storylines for at least 6 characters at this point.

“Even when Eddie got stabbed in the Season 9 finale, he recovered off-screen, and his pain was used to fuel Buck's storyline of choosing to foster Theo.” Boom!!!! They turned what could have been a BuddieChris moment and made it all about Buck and Theo. Glad to see journalists are seeing it too. The treatment of Eddie has been disgusting.
