I just watched an analyst on CNBC Halftime say she is bearish $UBER because shes frustrated with how the stock has performed, and she sees lots of self driving cars in Austin Texas. That was her entire bearish view.
People selling the stock literally don’t know what they own.

Google $GOOGL is reportedly in early talks with the Pentagon to help secure data for the $185B Golden Dome missile-defense program, according to Bloomberg.
Google could provide cloud storage, networking, and cybersecurity technology, while Palantir $PLTR, Anduril, and SpaceX are separately working on connecting military sensors and defense systems.
No deal has been finalized, but this could open another major opportunity for Google’s cloud and cybersecurity businesses.
Google bears will state Search will be disrupted by agents and forget to mention that Google sits near the top of the agentic leaderboard, and provides compute to the other three companies also making agents.
Google wins either way.

"Google's a very competent company and obviously they have both the talent and the compute."
"They're the vertically integrated player in this. They have everything from data to silicon to models to products and distribution."
"Google should be the default winner."

If you think that Agents will be >30% of how human consumers will crawl the web in the next two years and is lethal to GSearch & Amazon.com, I think you’re living in an echochamber. These two businesses have done nothing but continually optimize for the user experience for decades. No one can catch them.
Ask your parents or non-techie coworkers how often they are using Muse. The most likely response you’ll get is: “Whats that?”
Uber is so dead, thats its #7 on the App Store; between Claude (#6) and Kalshi (#9) during peak football season, MLB Playoffs, and NBA Tipoff.

I remember when there was near universal agreement on this app that the rise of GPT would smother Search growth. One billion users later, and Search continues to march. If you listen to the calls, mgmt clearly explains where the growth is coming from. The new boogieman is agents.
Even if you cede the false premise that hundreds of millions are going to stop using Chrome/Google/AI Mode/Gemini in exchange for agents, you must now acknowledge that a future that sees a 500x in agentic commerce would mean an explosion in GCP demand. Then you must consider that an agentic economy will absolutely include Alphabet’s own agents too.
Heads- Google wins

If you saw the Reddit CEO say “Google isn’t sending us traffic anymore” and you heard “humans arent using the internet anymore”, your imagination has run wild. The dead internet theory has been around for decades now, and yet today, more people (and bots) are using the internet than ever. The theory didn’t play out.
Google queries, and revenue, are at an all time high, and AI overviews are what users want. Yes, click through rate is lower, but Google is making it up in:
-Higher Volume
-Increased bidding due to more precise intent and improved recommendation engines
This is no different than when GPT was going to “kill” search. We then watched it scale past over a billion users and Search’s growth rate was unbothered, minus the 2022 recession, because like Sundar has been saying the whole time - its not a zero sum game.

David Sacks says $GOOG looks oversold here
"I'm seeing people post that Alphabet's Google search revenue dropped below 50% of total revenue for the first time, and they're making it sound like that's a catastrophic situation. Basically playing into the narrative that the search business is going to be disrupted by AI. And that's what it seems like on the surface. But when I dug into the numbers, it didn't really seem that bad at all."
"It’s true that Google searches' relative share decreased, but its absolute revenue still increased. If you look at Google search revenue year over year, it was still up 12%. It increased from $56 billion to $63 billion. So there's still a roughly $7 billion year over year increase in Google search. Google search is still thriving."
"I think you could say it's not growing that fast relative to other businesses, but you're not seeing it deteriorate yet. And the reason why the share fell below 50% is because other Alphabet businesses are simply growing much faster. And the main one is Google Cloud, which basically doubled year over year to $37 billion."
"So it's the rise of the Google Cloud business that has made Google search seem like it's on the decline. But I tend to think it's a good thing that Alphabet is now finally getting some of these other businesses to really work and to finally diversify the revenue. Diversifying from search has been something they've wanted to do for a long time. They now have all these other segments, you've got YouTube, you've got G Suite subscriptions."
"So in any event, I tend to think Google's a little bit oversold on this news today."
Jason: "I just literally bought some shares. So I'm long. I just bought more Google while doing the show.
David Friedberg: “Just remember, Alphabet owns 6% of SpaceX and like 15% of Anthropic as well. I think 85% of Waymo.”
The SEO crew never think about the growth of the ecosystem or what users want. They just think about their business, and I understand why, but you must understand how incredibly biased their view is.
These are the negative stories you are hearing; Meanwhile, the segment continues to perform despite the noise.
Last time people got this bearish, it was due to ChatGPT stealing consumer queries. 1B DAUs for GPT later, Search prints 17%, 19%, 17% q42025->q22026. They then come out of hibernation when theres a seasonal weakness like fx headwinds 😂

The circumstances and timing are so different from each other - plus lagging effects of the economy left by the previous POTUS - that this data is too muddy to form a conclusion.
What we do know is, market, in the long run, have rallied no matter who is in charge.
We’ve been through markets like this before.
