Shout out to the person who restarted The Magnolia Electric Co. discourse, because I somehow missed it all these years and I think it finally found me at just the right time
I've spent a lot of time in my life wondering if the loneliness I experience is ultimately something I deserve, that what I say and do results in my alienation. But the other night it finally occurred to me that maybe I'm actually being spared something in this suffering.
Or possibly being spared the horror of parenthood, as someone who cannot overlook a feeling of transgression of forcing life and suffering upon a being who is not able to give its consent. Or the horror of failing that person I have forced to exist.
While I think it's nice that there's a possibility things could start to improve now, it's extremely tempered by the feeling that a ton of people 10-20 years younger than me are about to learn firsthand what made my generation so cynical and immediately push further left.
jesus, this is the horniest I've ever seen twitter get over anything. It's like the purge out here, but for being horny on main
