According to the most recent Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) report, foreign-born workers accounted for 19.1 percent of the U.S. civilian labor force. (Approximately 32.7 million workers)

The Republican congress did nothing. Achieved nothing. Took the mandate they were given and did precisely zero with it. Feckless losers who are relieved to no longer be in the majority. The only thing Republicans do with power is bide their time until they can relinquish it.

For every $1 spent fighting a Democrat
The GOP spent $1.26 fighting a Republican.

Republicans could have passed an immigration moratorium, repealed gay marriage, repealed obamacare, ended foreign workers, cut spending and slashed the welfare state, repealed vaccine immunity, ended the Fed, expelled the Muslim Brotherhood, implemented judicial reform....and I don't know where they would be electorally, but not this bad, at least not in red states.

Sure, this is the biggest wipeout in 100 years, and the Democrats are going to control Congress, but they can't stop Trump from pointing at things and renaming them, and at the end of the day, that's what he truly loves the most.
So checkmate, Libs.

Republican voters have been handed one establishment dud after another, especially in states where the GOP should have the freedom to nominate a fighter. Then, when the general election arrives, we are ordered to fall in line because the Democrat is worse. That is a political monopoly, and it is killing the conservative movement.

Recruitment for 2028 starts the day after the midterms. If Trump can still clear a field with an endorsement, conservatives will get another Senate class that never had to answer hard questions.

The surge we are seeing in borrowing costs right now is not a coincidence.
Even as the US Treasury has attempted to intervene, yields just keep on rising.
Amid record deficit spending and 60-straight months of 2%+ inflation, the bond market can no longer ignore reality.
Asset owners will be the only winners.

Circular logic. As if they learned nothing from the first term of printing money. End all foreign workers driving down wages and then end welfare state keeping people on the sidelines.
He also supports the data center agenda. Classic aristo-populism.
๐จ BREAKING: The Trump administration is reportedly drafting a plan pushed by JD Vance to give federal child care funds to married couples with a STAY-AT-HOME SPOUSE while the other parent works โ NYT
The program could be $9K per year for these families
The goal: make it easier for married Americans to let one parent take care of the children, rather than both work and pay others to take care of the children
This could create an incentive for parents to "stay at home with their children"
Apparently, this is similar to a MARCO RUBIO proposal when he was Senator ๐
It sounds like this would be under current federal programs, not new laws passed by Congress

This DOES NOT HAPPEN when our military is at a proper level of readiness and discipline.ย Historically military aviation has been a zero defects endeavor, with everything about aircraft triple checked every time it goes up or comes down.ย This level of failure at "PMCS" preventative maintenance and checks and services, is what we had in the lowest point post-Vietnam under Jimmy Carter, when defense spending was at an ebb.ย What is our excuse with $1 Trillion being spent?
We debate too much about foreign policy in the abstract, but the question that should unify all sides is why we are increasingly getting less in terms of military readiness no matter how much money we spend.

When you take a break from X and then come back, one thing becomes glaringly clear.
This place is toxic.
The vitriol here just isn't normal. It turns allies into enemies. People that would agree on 98% of things into bitter rivals.
It also proves the old adage that if your wrestle with pigs, you'll get manure on you. I know that I sure have.
I want to be better.
Ron DeSantis frequently talks about the importance of knowing your truth north.
I have known mine for a while but have lost the ability to remain aligned to it.
Russell Kirk once described conservatism as the philosophy (not an ideology) that seeks to conserve that which makes life worth living.
Most of the things we bicker about on here aren't the sort of things that make life worth living.
Nothing in here is REAL.
Your family is real.
Your church is real.
Your neighbors are real.
Your community is real.
Your hobbies are real.
Your career is real.
Your groups and clubs and local organizations are real.
I am returning to focusing on conversations that seek to conserve those things.
I'm tired of the cutthroat faux angst that divides.
Life is worth celebrating and nothing does that better than actual conservatism.
I took a break and now I'm reorienting
