Taxation is theft.
What’s the point of paying taxes if we still have to beg the government to fix our roads, repair our pipes, and make sure we have clean water?
So in Texas, why do we even have to ask politicians to do something as basic as secure clean water? That should already be a priority, not something we have to vote on. But here we are.
That’s why Proposition 4 is on the ballot. It takes the money Texas already collects and actually uses it to fix what’s broken.
It repairs aging pipes that waste 88 billion gallons of water a year, secures safe drinking water for every community, and expands our supply for the future, all without raising taxes.
Vote YES on Proposition 4 and do what’s right

You supported and appeared in an attack ad for the white opponent of the Republican black man, who would have become the first black governor of California. You didn’t tell “the brothers” to vote for him. In fact, you wanted “the brothers” to vote against him.
You became a U..S. Senator from Illinois by defeating your black Republican opponent in the general election. In the name of racial solidarity, since you were both black, shouldn’t you have told “the brothers” to flip a coin?
You unsuccessfully primaried a black fellow Democrat who was the incumbent U.S. congressman from Chicago. In the name of racial solidarity, how do you explain that to “the brothers”?
Your future vice president, then-Senator Joe Biden, threatened a filibuster had President GWBush nominated Janice Rogers Brown, a black female D.C. appellate judge, who would have become the first black female Supreme Court justice. Did you tell “the brothers” to get over their sexism and support her?

When Vice President Biden told a black radio host he “ain’t black unless you know if you wanna vote for me or Trump,” you were silent. Given your support for racial solidarity when it comes to liberal blacks, I assume you’re OK with Biden saying to a black talk show host, “If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.” You were radio free silent on Biden’s racial shaming. Did you teach Biden or did Biden teach you?
Finally, you are a big time supporter of DEI, Black Lives Matter and a self-described proponent of “identity politics”—but you support DEI, black lives and identity politics only for black liberals of color.
