Same. Like I get it's about marketing and attracting viewership but sighhhh. I wish it were a surprise for people who didn't read the book

Correct. It's a money thing. They've realized they can make more money if they make every book hardcover at first and if they make everyone wait an entire year for the paperback.
I placed an Amazon order LAST THURSDAY and it still hasn't shipped. I don't know what's going on.
I'm thinking maybe the East of Eden TV tie in cover is on back order and so it's delaying the whole thing? Idk.
One of the things my friend bought me the other day was muffins and the best by date on them is tomorrow.
I am not going to be able to eat them all in time so I'm going to have to wrap them tomorrow and put them in the freezer.
I consider a novella to be like anything under 150 pages. Maybe even 200 if you /really/ want to push it. But yeah, 350 pages is fully a regular novel.
I am up to over $5 on paidviewpoint but I don't think I'm going to cash it out today because I'm not really feeling like doing surveys otherwise. So I'll keep adding to that and then maybe cash it out like tomorrow or something.
I did two 50 minute reading sprints tonight and managed to get from 28% in this book to 56%. I read like 103 pages, which is funny because I was 103 pages in before.
My average reading speed is around a page a minute I think. Maybe a little faster if I'm really in the zone.
The score is for the couple. It's not just for the star. So if the score is negative that also reflects on the pro.
i hate that shirley is like “there was no recognizable paso techniques in that” like …okay? how is that tatyana’s fault? why not just score her on what was given and just call out her pro for disappointing choreography? #dwts
I fully agree. Shirley's judging would have been more consistent if everyone had the same styles, or at least if everyone had a ballroom or Latin dance and not a specialty.
y'all cannot blame shirley for this. she is giving good critiques and is rightfully judging harshly. the problem is the producers giving half the people contemporary/jazz because there's a lot less to criticize and basically everyone gets at least a 7 just for showing up

I treat those short story/novellas as books. IDC.
Which means I have officially read 80 books this year. I think I will hit 85 like decently easily but I think it would be cool to hit 90 or even 100.
