Ever experience a steel beach picnic?
In the Navy after each 45 consecutive days at sea, we’d have a steel beach picnic on the flight deck.
Along with BBQ Chicken and steaks on the grill, each Sailor would get two beers. We were each given two tickets for the beers. The few guys that didn’t drink sold their tickets, getting up to $40 for each beer.
I had six beers our 1st time but and I was lucky bc had two shipmates that didn’t drink and they gave me their tickets at no charge.
Those six beers did get me pretty drunk that day.🍺⚓️🇺🇸
