The point of a technological revolution isn't to get there first. It's to make the most of it. It’s not zero sum. The UK didn’t win the Industrial Revolution, everyone did. It’s not zero sum, it’s positive sum

Your attention is the closest thing you have to a steering wheel. Whatever you pay attention to grows, including stuff you'd never choose on purpose. So over time your attention becomes your life.

We like when this happens.
The forward 12-month P/E ratio for the S&P 500 is 17.7. This P/E ratio is below the 5-year average (19.8) and below the 10-year average (19.1). @factset

“You're already familiar with this basic idea: Water your flowers and cut your weeds….Fuel your rockets and ground your anchors. Feed your tigers and starve your snails. Light your stars and dim your lanterns. Build your castles and abandon your ruins. Polish your gems and ignore your pebbles.” “I love the phrase "sleep number" for a different reason; it perfectly captures a key principle of Rule Breaker portfolios. Here's how we define it: It's the highest percentage you'd allow any holding in your portfolio to reach, while still sleeping soundly at night.” “Stocks always go down faster than they go up, but they always go up more than they go down.” ~ David Gardner

Two thoughts from Jacques Barzun “No subject of study is more important than reading…all other intellectual powers depend on it.” “...institutional self-reform is rare; the conscience is willing, but the culture is rough.”
