People who wrote down three things they were grateful for before bed fell asleep faster, slept longer, and reported 25 percent better sleep quality. The effect showed up in the first week. The study, led by Nancy Digdon at Grant MacEwan University in Canada, tested 41 university students over two weeks. One group wrote a gratitude list before bed. The other group wrote about daily events or did nothing. The gratitude group's pre-sleep thoughts shifted away from worry and toward warmth, The connection runs through the same mechanism that keeps anxious people awake. The brain's default state before sleep is rehearsal: replaying the day, scanning for threats, running worst-case scenarios. A gratitude list gives the brain something warm and specific to process at the moment when it would otherwise default to worry, and it works the same way a values affirmation does: it changes what the brain is chewing on when the lights go out. A 2009 study with 65 people in the Journal of Psychosomatic Research found the same thing and added something measurable: the grateful group showed less nervous system arousal before bed. Their bodies were calmer and their minds followed. Two minutes, three sentences, written down before you close your eyes. The body reads it as a signal that the day is done and the threats are over. The prescription costs nothing, works in the first week, and the only side effect is falling asleep with a better last thought than the one your brain would have chosen for you. iaap-journals.onlinelibrary.…

At 44, life has taught me that all limits are self-imposed and that the journey to becoming who we should be never stops. Embracing continuous learning, taking risks, and evolving is what gives life meaning. We get one shot at this life!

Thinking for yourself is crucial, but so is learning from others. The best ideas often come from seeing things from different perspectives. Blending independent thought with insights from those around you is powerful for truly transcending and growing.

What truly matters is being different. Uniqueness & authenticity are what set strong brands apart. They have a distinct tone, might follow a controversial belief, or see the future differently. The outliers, rule breakers, & visionaries break through the clutter. #brandstrategy

If you want to win, it's time to abandon the preoccupation with attention, content, differentiation, reach, impressions, likes, and other ephemeral markers of success.
