As someone who plays games, this is 100% what I want. As a dev making them, this is 500% what I want.

I’m really enjoying Sea of Stars. Nice to play an archetypal JRPG with some action/timing elements in an otherwise turn-based battle system.

It gives me hope for video games as a whole, that we can present stories of real choice and meaning, where the options are not designed to give you the thrill of the most intense or violent extremes, but the thrill of truly being loved and loving in return.
It’s an interactive novel, but with meaningful game systems that make for a tense, exciting, sometimes brutal economy of choices.
