This book, “The Truth about College Admission” remains on my Book Recommendation List for Parents of Teens. My #FiveFirstChoiceColleges approach gets a nice mention in the book for centering the student in the college process and reducing stress and improving admission outcomes.

Seniors-submit college essays when your candidacy is strongest. Take your time with apps & essays. Once everything is in good shape, set it aside for a week & come back to it with fresh eyes. Read the whole app package. Does it reflect everything you want the adm reader to learn?

As you continue to work on your application, remember that it is not a race to submit it—we haven't even started yet! This week, our first-year reading team of 70+ is coming together for our yearly review training to refresh and readjust how we read applications for the year.
