#BCStorm #BCwx #BCStormWatch Southern BC - (Cold & Unstable) Weather Update for the Afternoon of 10/27 to the Morning/Afternoon of 10/29/26 Created @ 2:30 pm At the SFC, a relatively broad area of low pressure, consisting of at least one or two lows at a time, cold &/or stationary front(s), & troughing, will bring a cold, unstable airmass to Southern BC & dominate the region over the next 36-48 hours.

#BCStorm #BCwx #BCStormWatch Southern BC - 10/25/26 Weather Update Created @ 10:45 pm At the SFC, a potent LP system continues to slowly glide down & just off the BC Coast tonight. It'll eventually meander just off the Washington & far South VI Coasts tmrw morning, where it'll continue to hang around & gradually weaken for the rest of the day & tmrw night. During tmrw night, however, while the low is expected to meander, it'll meander slowly south, reaching just off the South Washington-North Oregon Coast by late tmrw night.

Here is what the WeatherNext3 model is showing next week #BC. This is Google's most advanced global weather Ai model ranking #1 in skill scores outperforming even the AIFS. @judah47 #PolarVortex #BCWx #BCold #BCStormWatch #PNW #Weather #News #Winter

What a beauty! METEOR MN2-3 at 11:26 AM as the satellite passed a little E of my ground station here in Metro Vancouver. Beautiful day day, and a stunning clear sky at sunrise. Cloud arcing SE over Vancouver Island bringing showers tomorrow. @BCNewsAddict @BCstormwatch @vlad_rad @weathernetwork @MurphTWN @OrcaBC_CA @Weatherman2709

#BCStorm #BCStormWatch #ShareYourWeather The fall colours were popping in Kelowna today, thanks to the absolutely beautiful weather, albeit with a bit of a bite due to the dry, cold northerlies. Unfortunately, this is likely the last of the beautiful weather for the next little while for Southern BC, w/ classic cold, unsettled Fall weather expected to begin tmrw & continue until mid next week (a short day break or two in-between for regions is probable, however).

An taste of #Winter is on the way next week #BC as a #Polar lobe brings with it some Arctic Air. Still fairly early in the season so the airmass won't be truly cold but coastal Mts will see #Snow, maybe even higher elevation SFU mixing? 馃ザ馃巸 #BCCold #BCWx #BCStormWatch #PNW #WaWx

Unfortunately 00z Euro took a major 360 to continued ridging, above normal temps and well below precip in the #PNW. 00z CMC however continues showing a chilly system next weekend. Not sold on any solution atm with this volatile pattern. #BCWx #BCStormWatch #Weather #News

So interesting to track radiosondes (weather balloons) launched from Quillayute Airport on WA State's Olympic Peninsula. Using simple gear (a Nooelec SDR and TV Yagi antenna) I capture and decode telemetry from the balloons during the roughly two hours they are aloft. This afternoon's balloon reached a maximum speed of 137 km/h at an altitude of 10,800 m. These balloons are designed to burst at around 34,000 m. @BCNewsAddict @BCstormwatch @vlad_rad @HowesNathan @MurphTWN @ThatMetGirl @RyanVoutilainen
