I don't think the technology is Evil but using image gen for a retail product without owning the training material seems like pretty straightforward IP theft, just like using a stock photo without owning the rights. I don't think the extra step absolves ownership

Daring insight I know. One point on the bot side though, I do think text/code is a substantially different situation from image/video in this regard. This is reflected legally as well, so I don't think that's a contradictory pov

I mean these games run at 60 fps, so obviously these assets do fit within the perf budget and are made to be used in real time? They probably have LODs as well if necessary. I'm pretty sure nintendo knows how to use their own hardware

The Switch 2 dumps have given us access to proper 3D models of previously 2D-only Wonder assets thanks to Mario Tennis Fever. These and the Mario model are so high poly, they were clearly made for renders, not to be used in real time. It's crazy that these run in-game.

gamemaker variable definitions seem like a better way to organize create code stuff, but not being able to ctrl+f search your use of them like you can with actual create code makes it insane to consider using so basically the entire feature is currently pointless

DLSS IS NOW RUNNING ON AMD HARDWARE 🚨 A new mod called HelixSR runs NVIDIA's DLSS 3.7 neural network directly on AMD GPUs. No NVIDIA card, no drivers, no cloud. It even works on the Steam Deck, where early tests have it running FASTER than AMD's own FSR 4 (3.5ms vs 4.5ms per frame at 800p) while looking way better than FSR 3. Video below is DLSS vs FSR 4 on an RX 5700 XT, a 7 year old AMD card. NVIDIA IS F*CKED

the bot is going to kill consoles, "platforms", & there's really no way to stop it at this point. even if they sue everyone and make it illegal, open models are only like 6 months behind. The idea of there being any kind of friction keeping software on specific hardware is over
