The Ninth Circuit just dismissed (2-1) the U.S. government’s appeal for an emergency order to stop California and Los Angeles County from counting mail-in ballots from over 20,000 people it identified as likely noncitizens.
The government is arguing that would break the federal law against noncitizens voting in federal elections.
