Unelected hypocrite works to block actions of elected representative.
Given the seriousness of the circumstances surrounding Michelle O’Neill’s recent reckless conduct, and the damage it has done to the operation of our joint office, I have withdrawn agreement to attendance at tomorrow’s engagements in Glasgow.
This follows on the back of stopping separate planned engagements, including with the President of Ireland, Catherine Connelly over the last number of weeks and I have not agreed further activities or events.
I do not take this action lightly.
The situation surrounding the First Minister’s recent conduct remains extremely serious. There is significant anger, hurt and legitimate public discontent arising from her actions. These concerns cannot simply be dismissed or minimised. This is an exceptionally serious matter, particularly given the responsibilities of the office she holds and the importance of public confidence in the rule of law.
Of further concern is the First Minister’s continuing refusal to recognise or meaningfully acknowledge the depth and legitimacy of the discontent caused by her behaviour. Her approach has contributed to a significant deterioration in confidence and in the working relationship necessary to discharge the responsibilities of our joint office.
Northern Ireland will not miss out. I have requested a separate meeting with the Prime Minister to ensure Northern Ireland’s interests, including the urgent budgetary and funding challenges facing the Executive, continue to be represented directly.

Fair play to @SuzyJourno who, despite numerous attempts at being derailed from making the point on Nolan this evening, outlined succinctly that unionist politicians are far too cozy with the LCC and the extent of their influence must also be investigated as a matter of urgency.

It is for the people to decide who represents them as First Minister. Not the DUP.

When the obvious is pointed out yet you still cannot grasp the levels of hypocrisy, or mental gymnastics you employ, to dismiss the worries over the influence of still armed and active loyalist paramilitaries on our society whilst complaining about the 'feelings' of others.

Ireland had a gay, Indian origin Prime Minister recently and is on its 3rd female President. It opposes Israel’s retaliatory mass killings in Gaza & discriminatory actions on the W. Bank. But you say it’s “racist (&) made up of sanctimonious jerks”. Are you thinking clearly?
Replying to @KumarSanga2 @Ryanair
Sorry to hear about your experience but can’t say I’m surprised, coming from Ireland, an anti-Semitic and racist nation made up of sanctimonious jerks. Ryanair is the worst airline to fly with. Gave them two chances and swore never to fly with them again.

A bit more news regarding Jeffrey Donaldson tonight. Lisburn Council are launching an investigation into potential "safeguarding concerns" regarding Jeffrey Donaldson.
Donaldson served as an elected councillor in Lisburn from 2005-2011. (This was prior to legislation banning "double-jobbing"). He was also an MP at the same time.
