Reposting this for no particular reason Liz Cheney: “I say this to my Republican colleagues who are defending the indefensible. There will come a day when Donald Trump is gone, but your dishonor will remain.”

Our victory – and what comes next. This victory comes with a mandate from the voters that is about ending corruption, ending unfairness, getting money out of politics, bringing down oligarchy, and reducing inequality. That's what we're here for. It's time to get started.

I’m proud of the race we ran. We helped drive turnout and broke the super majority in the state house and senate. 2028 is around the corner. LFG!

Absolute demons. Anyone who supports this is also straight demonic
Ukrainian rescuers are desperately digging for survivors after a Russian double-tap airstrike hit an aid center and community bomb shelter in Zaporizhzhia yesterday. The death toll currently stands at 33, with over 50 missing. Five people have been pulled from the rubble.

.@Timodc: "All of the people that had the biggest moats, that had the most resources, the best lawyers, all decided that the right thing to do was to let Donald Trump run roughshod over the country and become a dictator…I do have to say to all of those people, tonight, lawyer up."

Ban all Russian passports. We wouldn’t accept ISIS passports and Russia is far worse terrorist organization. The monsters who planned and executed this massacre will be looking over their shoulders the rest of their hopefully short lives.
Russians have released drone footage of them dropping a multi-ton guided bomb on a school in Zaporizhzhia, setting it to pop music. This strike killed over 30 people. This is Russian culture.

Crime without accountability is practice. Justice is not vengeance. When the Soviet Union collapsed, we let euphoria blind us to the need for the hard work of investigation and responsibility. Do not forgive, do not forget, and clean house.
Hearings, subpoenas for Musk, Witkoff, Kushner, Don Jr., Eric, Beach. It should be a C-Span limited series.

Laura Ingraham is already preparing viewers that this will be a bad night for the GOP, trying to look for a silver lining by saying "Democrats could very well misread any mandate that comes out of tonight."

An utterly horrific Russian attack on the settlement of Komyshuvakha in the Zaporizhzhia region. Since this morning, the settlement has been hit several times by aerial bombs. The strikes targeted a school used for humanitarian purposes – people were receiving humanitarian aid there. After the first aerial bomb strike, there was a double-tap strike with nine more bombs, specifically targeting the shelter where people were taking cover. Tragically, 18 people have already been reported killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Five people have been injured. A rescue operation is underway at the site, and the search for people continues. It is extremely difficult. Military forces, first responders, and special services are involved. The Russians could not have been unaware that every week, local residents who had remained in Komyshuvakha received humanitarian aid at that very location. And this is further proof that Russia wants no de-escalation and no real justice. After the humanitarian operation in Oleshky, there was a moment when the next steps could have shown that progress toward peace was possible. With these killings, Russia is sending an entirely opposite signal: Russia is counting on more killings. There must be a response to this – a response from the world. A strong and tough response. A response to Russia. And support for Ukraine. We must protect lives. Thank you to everyone who is helping!

"For me it was that you can dream big. I was born and reared on a farm in western Minnesota and dreamed of winning the World Series as a kid. So to see that come true it's almost overwhelming. If I would have told somebody that I was going to win the World Series in New York City when I was a kid, they probably would have laughed. I did it, though, proving that anything is possible if you set your mind to it and work hard. It doesn't matter where you come from or how you are raised. Anything is possible in this country. Anything." Jerry Koosman, 1969. "His stuff was every bit as good as Seaver's.... He could get that fastball in on right-handers. Boy, you talk about eat them up! Koosman got a lot of the very tough matchups. Why would you burn your number one guy against the other team's number one? Koosman was number two, and he got some of the tougher matchups." Ron Swoboda. In 1977, Jerry Koosman lost 20 games and had an ERA+ of 107, WAR 2.9, and lead the league in SO/9. Jerry Koosman WAS THAT GOOD!!!!!!! Koosman and Yogi Berra!

How the hell did this Administration allow a 28-year-old DOGE operative with zero government experience to take over USAID, fire thousands of federal employees, and shut down lifesaving aid programs around the world?   Not to mention that HR had zero record of him working there, he never completed his background paperwork to legally start working for the agency, and he didn’t even have an ID badge, because, officially, he didn’t exist as an employee.   And yet, all on his own, this man was given the go ahead to lock staff out of their own systems and use your taxpayer dollars to gut lifesaving programs with zero transparency.   The Trump Administration owes the American people and Congress answers. Who signed off on this? Why on earth was he given this kind of power?   This wasn’t an accident. Someone handed this man unchecked power, someone knew he wasn’t legally authorized to use it, and someone decided that there was nothing wrong with that.   Well, everything is wrong with that. Congress needs answers about this, and that is NOT optional. wired.com/story/a-28-year-ol…

What an asshole! NATO was built for one purpose only—to defend free Europe against Russian invasion. And to downplay the sacrifices made by Europeans for American war elsewhere is hitting new moral lows, though for Trumpist officials the moral abyss is bottomless.
JD Vance's former national security adviser Andy Baker: The idea that Article 5 is a matter of belief, I find deeply aggravating. Article 5 is a treaty commitment to consult and to decide what counts as a breach of the peace and what allies do in response — CFR. 1/
