A pilot with knowledge, experience, logic, & compassion. A family friend of mine flys chartered Lear jets as his full time job & stated the exact thing this pilot does.πŸ™πŸΌ

Writing this in my personal capacity, but I have been flying these types of aircraft for more than 20 years, with over 8,000 hours, and have reasonable familiarity with how the charter world operates. I feel compelled to post after seeing commentary about the Lear 60 crash, from missile strikes to DEI to critiquing this poor woman’s final radio calls. That last part is what I find most troubling. She was the second-in-command (SIC), and while she was empowered to point out mistakes as part of good crew resource management, she was doing her job, communicating with ATC right to the end in a terrifying situation. She likely knew before many of those calls that she was going to die. I have heard final calls from friends, from military pilots with thousands of hours in fighter aircraft, and they are just as heartbreaking because they know the end is approaching. I understand the public interest given the footage and audio. But you do not know the aircraft’s maintenance history, whether there was a structural failure, if any failure was induced by turbulence, overspeed, or overcontrol, or everything happening in that cockpit. I am sure weather will be part of the investigation, but beyond that, it is speculation. The charter industry routinely hires commercial pilots very early in their careers to gain experience alongside an ATP-qualified captain before they move up to the airlines. She would still have the appropriate training, qualifications, and checkouts by an FAA examiner or designee. Let people investigate, learn, and share the facts. Be respectful to those who perished and the families who carry their memories. God bless them and their loved ones.

Pilot flew strait into an updraft of a 45,000 foot cell. Next time you complain about your airplane spending an extra 30 minutes going around a storm...now you remember why.
*Listener discretion advised, ATC audio from the accident. A Learjet 60 crashed in Palm Beach County, Florida earlier today. The pilot reported moderate turbulence along with icing conditions. The aircraft departed Austin, Texas heading towards the Bahamas. The pilot later reported descending at 20,000 feet per minute. Audio via @liveatc and tracking via @ADSBex

Its sad-funny watching the Chud movement celebrate the Corporations continually destroying gaming with price hikes, mismanagement & studio closures believing its all happening cuz of "activist writers" and DEI! It plays perfect with their dumbass "woke boogeyman" scapegoat grift, when this sort of rampant unchecked corporatism has existed for decades in the industry and has been a cycle. When corporate entities stupidly chase short-term shareholder value, live service slop without substance & market consolidation then gamer atrophy & mass layoffs are bound to follow. But NO GUYS, its ACHTUALLY cuz "purple haired women in gaming are destroying our games! and now they are jobless! Haha!! this'll teach those devs!! GO WOKE! GO BROKE!! hurr durr!" geezuzπŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

I've had a copyright claim submitted over a few small Tesla clips in my latest video while talking about some of the sweet Roadster thruster footage. Obviously all fair use. How is it fair @YouTubeCreators that a baseless claim like this can be made by a company that has absolutely nothing to do with Tesla? All monetisation removed again for up to 30 days including shopping and I just need to take it until my dispute expires. Add to that I need to tick boxes in my dispute submission agreeing that "I understand that filing fraudulent disputes may result in termination of my YouTube channel." For creators this stuff scares them into being bullied into having their earnings taken away. It only needs a 2 second glance to see that the claim itself is fraudulent, so such claims should never make their way to a creator in the first place. All the power is with the claimant, almost nothing with the creator. πŸ₯Ί
