Jalen Hurts is not an elite playoff riser. He isn't clutch, and he isn't the reason the Eagles have had success. He's a game manager.
He's never won a playoff game in which the team falls behind by more than 3 points. In fact, he's overcome a grand total of 4 points in deficits across SIX wins.
Evidence Below:
01/16/2022: Loss to TB 15 - 31
01/21/2023: Won vs NYG 38 - 7, never trailed
01/28/2023: Won vs SF 31 - 7, never trailed
02/12/2023: Lost vs KC 38 - 35
01/16/2024: Lost to TB 9 - 32
01/12/2025: Won vs GB 10 - 22, never trailed
01/19/2025: Won vs LAR 22 - 28, overcame 1-pt deficit
01/27/2025: Won vs WAS 23 - 55, overcame 3-pt deficit
02/09/2025: Won vs KC 22-40, never trailed
01/11/2026: Lost vs SF 23 - 19
Hey, @WhatGoingDowney, you said you don't want to send a 2nd-rd pick for Josh Sweat.
Consider this: The 2nd has been a perennial failure for Dallas. Here's our last 10 2nd-round draft picks:
Year Player
2025 Donovan Ezeiruaku
2024 Marshawn Kneeland
2022 Luke Schoonmaker
2022 Sam Williams
2021 Kelvin Joseph
2020 Trevon Diggs
2019 Trysten Hill
2018 Connor Williams
2017 Chidobe Awuzie
2016 Jaylon Smith
A 2 should definitely be valued the way you want it to be, but we gotta consider that Dallas is going to launch that pick into the sun every year anyways.
Genuinely bad take.
Dak is very obviously the best QB in the NFC. Fringe top-5 in the entire league.
Quinnen had a pretty bad start, but he seems to have adjusted to the scheme, and has since looked pretty great overall.
It's because he seems to have little to do with this season's offensive success. The offense seems to perform well in spite of him, and that's why they fail critical in moments, bc he isn't an asset. He doesn't maximize the offensive talent.
It's because that was when Jalen was at his best. This is when he was actually doing the things that Eagles fans pretend he was doing over the last 3 seasons. They feel compelled to assign him credit for the ring, but can't find a dynamic player to assign it to since that season.
The HC cannot be treated as if it is more important than his own role. That's his entire problem. He can't let someone else cook, even if he would otherwise burn the food.
Actually sounds like a fucking kickass week for Texas ngl
Replying to @BadTakeBuster
Bad week for Texas. First Dak is still your quarterback and then you actually fucking voted Blue.
This is why nobody takes Dak haters seriously.
Regular season rankings do not, in any way whatsoever, determine how the defense actually performs in the playoffs.
Being a top 5 reg szn defense is great, but it means jack all if they allow the highest epa/db to Jordan Love in the playoffs since 2000.
To add to what this creator said: Dak deals with this kind of crap every week and the offense still usually puts up 30+ pts.
It's just a good ole fashioned resulting fallacy. Jalen fanboys tend to latch onto comfortable, simplified narratives.
When their flawed logic is questioned, they return to the result, "you prefer stats over winning."
Their entire motive is to justify and reinforce their cognitive biases. "He just wins," is repeated regardless of his input.

🚨RESULTS FALLACY DETECTED🚨
This is an analytically unsound method of evaluating the QB. You can't just look at the end of the game and place the blame squarely on Dak. Could he have been superman? Maybe. But expecting that on the weekly is absurd.
I get that you want to be objective here, but this kind of analysis does more to shield the actual problems than anything else. You still ultimately commit a results fallacy instead of sticking with the obvious and consistent issue: we require 34 points to win a game.
Quite frankly, it is an absurdity to even mention Dak's name when placing blame for this team's record. His performance each week is enough to win most games on most teams, and on a consistent basis.
Don't minimize the Cowboys' actual game-wrecking problems by putting attention on Dak.
The debate was settled by Jalen's performance in 2025 and 2026. He was carried, and the evidence is abundant. His lackluster play is not absolved by a backup coming in and performing mildly worse than him.
If by that you mean "did not reach the magic number 34," then sure.
Tell me—did the offense cause the defense to allow 113 yards on two runs from Allgeier?
There's always room for improvement, even for an offense that scores 30 points, but get real man.
We could have had Jesus Christ playing QB today & the results woulda been the same. If your team needs to score 34 points to win, you do not have a QB problem. Dak haters can't tell a bidet from a water fountain, and they certainly don't know ball.
Why do I continue to let the Dallas Cowboys waste my time every week? What is wrong with me?
I declined a good research opportunity because the time commitment would have driven me to working Sundays, and I chose the Jerry Jones clown show over it. Fuck the Cowboys man.
