Bahrain-based developer Bareeq AlRetaj has unveiled its new Asyaf project, an integrated waterfront development on the northern coast of Muharraq. The project will bring together residential neighbourhoods, hospitality facilities, a yacht marina, retail outlets, restaurants and green spaces, creating a vibrant coastal destination. Featuring a range of residential options, landscaped gardens and pedestrian-friendly public spaces, the development aims to create a distinctive waterfront community that seamlessly integrates residential, commercial and recreational spaces, offering a unique coastal living experience.

The Kingdom of Bahrain is investing in sustainable infrastructure, with the US$202.27 million development of the King Faisal Highway set to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion and enhance connectivity across Manama. By 2030, journey times are expected to fall from 20 minutes to just 3 minutes, alongside a projected 30% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and up to 25% lower fuel consumption, supporting Bahrain’s efforts to promote energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.

On the sidelines of the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the UK, in collaboration with the Labour Foreign Policy Group, hosted a panel discussion titled “Strategic Dialogue on the Middle East: UK–GCC Cooperation in a Changing Region”. The panel explored regional security and stability, defence and diplomatic cooperation, and opportunities to further strengthen UK–GCC trade, investment and strategic ties.

H.E. Sh. @Fawaz_AlKhalifa, Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps in London and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain, hosted the annual Arab Ambassadors Council reception at the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool, attended by Arab Ambassadors, UK Ministers, Members of Parliament and diplomats. Joined by H.E @SDoughtyMP , Minister for the Middle East and North Africa, and Lord @AnasSarwar , Minister of State for Trade, the evening reaffirmed the importance of the longstanding partnership between the United Kingdom and the Arab world. H.E. the Ambassador highlighted the shared commitment to peace and stability across the region, support for the two-state solution, the importance of freedom of navigation, and the opportunities ahead to deepen trade, investment and wider cooperation between the United Kingdom and the Arab nations.

HE Sh @Fawaz_AlKhalifa met Simon Martin, who will serve temporarily as the UK’s Chargé d’Affaires ad interim in Manama. They discussed the close Bahrain–UK friendship, and HE wished him every success until the new Ambassador-Designate Tom Allen takes up his post early next year. Mr. Martin previously served as UK Ambassador to Bahrain from 2015 to 2019.

HE Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Thomas Kazakos, Secretary General of the International Chamber of Shipping. Discussions focused on maritime safety and the importance of restoring freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
