These kind of markets. Makes us realise the importance of the price at which we buy stocks. To me, that is the timing. Buying price. If I have read the story and the management right, I can easily wait . If buying price is wrong, then we have to wait for excesses to come again.
LTCG will make a difference of 1/8th on the returns. If this makes someone think twice about investing, cannot be great returns. Not that I support LTCG. If you had 20 percent returns, LTCG would still give you 17 percent plus. So, when returns are poor, LTCG is an excuse .
The great dictator. No dissent. No protest. Like it or lump it. Our jails are open to all.
EXCLUSIVE: India’s biggest news publishers including Ambani's Network18, Adani's NDTV, Indian Express, Times Internet & others mount the most high-profile challenge yet to Modi’s privacy law, warning it would “render investigative journalism a benign and neutered recorder of events.”
DNPA (@publishers_news) has taken the law to the Supreme Court. They argue it would trample investigative work and let New Delhi identify journalists’ sources.
The provisions “constitute pre-censorship which is anathema to any democracy worth its name,” the group’s 698-page filing says.
The key concerns:
🔹 Consent: requiring a journalist to notify the subject of an investigation and seek consent “would allow that subject to destroy evidence, intimidate witnesses”
🔹 Erasure: people can withdraw consent and demand their data be erased, which the group says could force publishers to unpublish or heavily redact news reports
🔹 Sources: a “nakedly unguided” power to demand information that “can extend to privileged communications in possession of a reporter or the informant”
In a letter to the government, the group said India “has chosen to grant broad exemptions to the state, while failing to extend any corresponding protection to the press.”

Another fatal luxury car crash that killed a scooterist in Kerala by a 17 year old, son of District Judge ⚠️
Victim's Niece was told,
"Don't teach me law, you have no rights to question me" - Minor's father(additional district judge)
"Don't overreact and get emotionally driven, he is just a 17 year old kid" - Kerala Police
The accident occurred at around 2:20 AM to 3:00 AM at Cheranalloor in Kochi. A speeding luxury Mercedes-Benz car, registered under the name of the additional judge, rammed into a scooter from behind. The scooter rider, 55-year-old Jayabalakrishnan of Manjali, was killed. He was a local street vendor returning home after closing his wayside eatery (thattukada) near a temple in Chittoor.
The 17-year-old minor, who does not possess a driving license, reportedly took the car out for a night drive. He was speeding at 100km/hr while the crash occured as per reports. The victim's niece JAYALAKSHMI claims that the accused was not shown to them at the police station and Kerala police insisted them to not get emotionally driven by this incident as if this isn't a big loss at all. The father of the 17 year old accused who is a district court judge spoke rudely at the police station asking them not to teach him law as per Jayalakshmi's claim.
The central issue is the loss of a human life. Jayabalakrishnan's family has suffered an irreversible loss, and the circumstances surrounding his death must be investigated thoroughly. The victim and his family deserve justice, while the investigation and any subsequent legal proceedings must establish responsibility on the basis of evidence rather than influence, status or public speculation.
Mr Nehru, MK Gandhi et al messed up the economy badly in 1947. Will take a 100 years to set things right. 2047 will be the first year of Amrit Kaal. Till 2046 we suffer. Kudos to the BJP team that identified the timelines.,
2047, here we come.

As a tax payer I have not felt so insulted today with PM speech.
We pay 30% from our income. I can show you my payslips. Aap samay dijiye. आपके तोते उड़ जाएंगे tax देखकर।
I don't want any favour from you. I am ready to pay tax at 2014 rates. Ask FM to bring ancient tax regime.
The grief on a ten percent drop in the portfolio is far more intense than the joy at a mere ten percent rise. Our ability to take pain is limited. Remembering and reviewing why we bought a stock helps .
