It was with a heavy heart that I said farewell to Balerno High School yesterday, after almost 19 years in the LRC. I was absolutely stunned at the fuss everyone made of me - both staff and pupils. Thank you so much for your generosity. I will miss you all.❤️
It’s #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek and the LRC has lots of books to support you, whether you are looking for non-fiction or just a good story.
Last Literacy group of 2021 so we treated ourselves to hot chocolate and a good old fashioned game of Scrabble. Campbell was an easy winner, sneaking a triple word score with his letter Q. Rematch next term!
Another wonderful Manga drawing for our #BookWeekScotland competition. Well done on winning 2nd prize Zofia!
At the moment Manga books are flying off the shelves so we challenged our S1-S3 pupils to come up with their own Manga creation for #BookWeekScotland. Kyle in S2 produced this amazing drawing and wins 1st Prize. Well done Kyle!👏
It was an LRC takeover of Craft Club this week for #BookWeekScotland. Pupils made some beautiful Scratch Art bookmarks.

It’s #BookWeekScotland and there’s lots going on in school: you can decorate you teacher’s door with a book cover of your choice, enter the Manga drawing competition or why not pop into the LRC and help Mrs Timoney organise her new books.📚
