The fact this is being publicly advertised as opposed to going out and headhunting for the position tells you that people know it’s not a position worth it’s salt.

Advertising for a Head of Recruitment is fine, but if an agent with longstanding ties to the ownership group can still override recommendations, what influence does the role actually have?
Lack of clarity around roles and limited transparency has too often produced a melting pot of random signings that don’t work as a unit. That’s the pattern a lot of supporters have observed for years.

🚨 We're live in just under 10 minutes!
Returning after FOUR matches which saw Wolves garner seven points. Shouts of "you don't know what you're doing" rang through Molineux directed at Peixoto. Does he? We discuss that and look ahead to another home fixture against Cardiff.

In every team I’ve been part of, we’ve always found a way to have some fun the night before a match at the hotel… because staying in hotels every 3 days can get pretty boring!
At Wolves, we had a really good game that everyone could join in on… even the physios, the doctor and the rest of the staff!
It was Werewolves (look it up).
We’d have 10/15 people playing the same game, and the next day, all the conversations at breakfast and lunch would be about the game we’d played the night before. Specially about the dumb people/decisions were made 😂😂😂
Fair play to Leander for being such a good storyteller! 😂😂👌

🚨 We're back recording tomorrow, talking about Wolves hanging on to beat Watford at Molineux to cap off a run of four matches in which they took seven points.
Send in your questions you'd like us to hit on and join the live stream at 11:00am eastern (or 3pm UK time, due to daylight saving time)!

The data and eye test just don't match right now. We concede few chances, but it feels like it's down to poor oppo execution rather than our structure. The goals we score aren't the product of a coherent attacking unit. The numbers will say we're a good side, I'm unconvinced.
Gone downee oshin for a wedding this weekend, so had to miss most of the Wolves game. You’re welcome…

I despise the “we need the fans” line, we need players who perform to a decent standard, a coach who sends the players out with a plan and owners who fuck off when they can’t be arsed any more #fosunout
🚨 Latest from Cesar Peixoto, who discusses:
🗣️ Needing the fans at Molineux and the impact a negative atmosphere has on the players.
🐺 Why it takes time to build a winning mentality at Wolves following last season.
The head coach gave long, detailed and nuanced answers here that are important to read in context. #wwfc open.substack.com/pub/inside…

What is going on with these injuries ffs.
No consistency with the XI’s really isnt helping.
Fer Lopez has a small calf problem, hence being benched.
Nasser Djiga has a groin injury, but told it's not serious.
Ghislain Konan has a knee injury. Will ask Cesar Peixoto after the match for an update. #wwfc

A quaint reminder that a man unceremoniously dumped by the current owners, whose greatest achievement was getting us out of L1, retains more affection from the fanbase than any of the execs who could take credit for taking us into Europe. These are the people that make football.

this. nothing wrong with playing zonal and not pressing aggressively if you do the fundamentals right. it can't work if you're leaving space between the lines. that's basic stuff.

swear to god everyone's been blinded by modern obsession with hard running and man-to-man pressing, and ignored the basics like "don't leave big gaps between the lines".
