Any case where evidence is withheld should result in the conviction being automatically quashed. The amount of evidence withheld in the Jeremy Bamber case is off the scale. #FreeJeremyBamber
A national disgrace. More information regarding the files held in the National Archives. The Sun 👇👇👇 A total of 246 case files held at the National Archives have been closed, with some not available for inspection until 2086, meaning Bamber would have to live until he was 125 to see them. Campaigners believe the files — which include trial documents — could hold vital evidence to clear his name. They are now planning to appeal to the Solicitor General to request the embargoes are removed or lawyers are allowed access to them on a qualified basis. Michael Turner KC, who represented Bamber, 65, in an unsuccessful 2002 appeal, is working with the Jeremy Bamber Innocence Campaign in the fight to unlock the files. He said: “These files potentially answer every question in the Bamber case. “However, extraordinarily, they extended the embargoes on them after Keir Starmer became Prime Minister. “Jeremy has written various letters to the Government and he is getting the runaround. “I know a number of the lawyers in the Labour Government, so I am trying to do something about this. “What is ridiculous about the embargoes is that they’ve been sealed under the heading of public safety and protecting informants.”

It needs to be a criminal offence to fail to disclose evidence, with a nominated police officer and CPS/COPFS lawyer for each case, who takes responsibility & is the person who will be prosecuted for any failures.

One of the most disgraceful chain of events in Jeremy’s long battle. Non disclosure of evidence and then the CCRC wouldn’t pay to have the photographs developed. The Guardian 👇👇👇 A bundle of crime-scene photos was disclosed to Bamber’s defence before the 1986 trial. Fifteen years later, in 2001, a second bundle was disclosed to his new team, to prepare for his appeal. Finally, in 2011, following decades of legal battles and multiple court orders regarding non-disclosed evidence, Essex police handed over 406 crime scene negatives to the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC), the body tasked with investigating potential miscarriages of justice. When the CCRC refused to pay to have the negatives developed into hi-res photographs, Bamber’s supporters paid £2,295 to have them developed.

As many of you know, nearly 250 files from Jeremy's case are being hidden in the National Archives, under decades-long embargoes. The obvious question is: why? Steps are being taken to remedy this disgraceful situation, and the media are now taking an interest in the matter, as demonstrated by today's article in the Sun (it is behind a paywall, but we are trying to obtain the copy to post). It is certain that the hidden files don't help the prosecution case; and they may contain such case-defining material as the recording of the 999 call at 06.09 from WHF to Nick Milbank. The press can clearly spot a blatant cover-up when they see one.

40 years ago today Jeremy Bamber was convicted of murdering his family by a 10:2 majority verdict. There was zero direct evidence against him. The jury was told misinformation. Masses of exculpatory evidence was withheld. He remains in prison to this day. It's an absolute travesty. @Bambertweets @FreeBamberNow @EmpowerInnocent #JeremyBamber #WrongfulConviction #MiscarriageOfJustice #JusticeReform

A reminder of what Emily Bolton said about the Jeremy Bamber case. "bears all the hallmarks of the sorts of wrongful convictions that have been overlooked, that I've seen in my years practising." Speaking about the treatment of PC Milbank's evidence, she says: "It's absolutely ludicrous to allow the investigating force to go and take a statement from him. PC Milbank was essentially a whistleblower. He said something that undermined the police case. He should have been protected." dailymail.com/news/article-1… @Bambertweets @EmpowerInnocent @MoJGovUK #JeremyBamber #WrongfulConviction

It's hard to believe that there are still people who think Jeremy Bamber is guilty. Anyone who has researched the case properly will know for certain he is innocent. xitter.gq/UKinjustice2025/status… #JeremyBamber #WrongfulConviction @Bambertweets @EmpowerInnocent
#JeremyBamber is innocent Do you want to know the only reason everybody doesn't know that? I'll tell you. It's because it takes a lot of time researching the case to be absolutely certain about that undeniable fact. So the vast majority of people don't bother. They just believe what they've been told is the truth and naively trust in the courts' decisions. In a way I can understand that. The truth about this case and indeed the entire UK justice system is terrifying. And ignorance is bliss as they say. So you need to ask yourself if you're brave enough to learn the REAL truth? Watching, reading and listening to the information at these links will take you in the region of 11 hours. More if, like me, you watch, read and listen multiple times. But by the end of it you will have serious doubts about his guilt. Then I can then send you more compelling evidence that proves he is 100% innocent. Just ask. youtube.com/watch?v=yLoZhczo… (Whitehouse farm murders part 1 - Emma Kenny) youtube.com/watch?v=VLvxbb2N… (Whitehouse farm murders part 2 - Emma Kenny) youtube.com/watch?v=nNiG4zbP… (Shocking New Evidence - Emma Kenny) newyorker.com/magazine/2024/… (The New Yorker article by @HeidilBlake) newyorker.com/blood-relative… (Six part podcast - The New Yorker - @HeidilBlake ) If you think it looks like a lot to get through and is a bit off-putting, just ask yourself if you're happy being deceived? #UKMiscarriageOfJustice

Whatever your view on Jeremy Bamber, this is essential reading.
🚨🚨🚨New Guardian Article 🚨🚨🚨 Sue Carney-Gannon has concluded that the patterns on the clothing and body of Caffell point to suicide. “In my opinion, if Sheila Caffell took her own life using the rifle, as the defence for Jeremy Bamber assert, then this explains the distribution of blood on her nightdress and right arm,” she writes in her report. “In my opinion, these findings are accounted for by her having taken her own life with the rifle; blood from the wound under her chin running down the upper right front of her clothing and splashing on to her right forearm, then veering to her right side as her body and arms fell.” theguardian.com/uk-news/ng-i…
