The absolute best of Twitter. Thanks lads, loved every morsel and minute of this. It had everything, even Ian Gwyn Hughes. Wonderful memories. And me a Barry fan!

Barry Town United is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of club legend Ken Gully. A true son of Barry, Ken made 287 appearances for the club, scoring an incredible 165 goals, including six first-team hat-tricks. From his debut in 1960 to his final appearance at Jenner Park in 1975, Ken left an unforgettable mark on our club and the town he proudly represented. An exceptional footballer and, above all, a true gentleman. Our thoughts are with Ken’s family, friends and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time. Rest in peace, Ken.

If VAR can’t work effectively in the richest league in the World then why on earth are the FAW persistent with using it in Wales, where referees aren’t even full time

Context: we were 3-1 down from the away leg. I realise the 3-1 Porto win is more famous, and they had more money on the pitch, but we lost the tie. This win stuck us into the UEFA Cup proper. Unreal being a fan back then. 1996, baby.

Gutted to hear about the passing of Jimmy Rimmer. Jimmy was the first Villa 'keeper I ever saw between the sticks at Villa Park (1979-80) season. Incredibly privileged to meet him at Jenner Park 10 years ago. Look at the line-ups for my first ever Villa match πŸ‘€ (v. Forest)
