Telling conservatives to stay home or vote Democrat over Iran is terrible advice. Iran has funded terrorist groups that attack Americans and our allies for decades, and letting them get a nuke is the bigger danger. You can be mad about gas prices, but handing Congress to Democrats doesnt lower them. It just gets you two years of investigations and impeachment talk instead of anything getting done.
Even a New York Times editor admits it. When a law professor showed the paper labels conservatives way more than liberals, the standards editor said it can come off like the Times treats liberals as normal and conservatives as unique. Thats not a small style issue. If one side is always the default and the other always gets a warning label, the reader is being told who to trust before the story even starts.
Texas has no state income tax. Californias top rate is 13.3%. People can be upset about living in a red state, but thats red state policy working: you keep more of your own paycheck and the government has to live with less. Lower taxes and smaller government arent the downside, theyre the point.
A poll of Democrats in swing districts found only about 22% want Schumer leading them, and theyre not happy with Jeffries either. The push to replace them isnt coming from moderates, its coming from the left. Thats where the party is headed, and its why the turnout gap matters next week.
Every argument for blockers and surgery on kids comes back to consent. The parents agreed, the doctor agreed, so its fine. We dont let parents consent to damaging their kids anywhere else, and a 13 year old cant consent to something that permanently changes their body. Blockers for actual early puberty are fine, using them to start a kid on transition should be banned, and surgery on minors should be off the table completely.
Bobby Jindal's group is running an ad during NFL games calling liberals the new racists. Judging people by their skin color is the definition of racism, and the left does it constantly, sorting every outcome by race and attacking half the country over the color of their skin. Saying that out loud isnt hate. Treat people as individuals and most of this goes away.
A federal judge ruled the Justice Department wasnt allowed to fire Maurene Comey, a career prosecutor. Prosecutors use the president's law enforcement power, and the Constitution gives the executive power to the president, not to a judge in Manhattan. If the people we elect cant fire the people working under them, voters have no say in who runs prosecutions. And she already left for a private job last December, so this is about back pay and a judge deciding who the president can let go.
Nate Silver has Democrats around 75% to take the Senate. A forecast isnt a vote. His own site just banned a pollster that admitted it made up its numbers, so forgive me if I dont treat polls like gospel. If you think Trumps doing a good job, go vote. Turnout decides this, not a model.
Obama, stumping for a Medicare for All candidate in Michigan, asked whats radical about wanting everybody to have healthcare. Nothing. Everybody wants that. The radical part is one government plan deciding what care you get and when, with nowhere else to go when it says no. Medicare already runs worse than private insurance and they want to put everyone on it.
A South Texas builder put fences around his job sites so ICE cant get to his workers, then told reporters "we cannot build houses without them." Thats the whole problem in one sentence. If your business only works when the crew isnt here legally, thats not a labor shortage, thats a business model built on breaking the law. Enforcement isnt the bad guy here. Make Americans want those jobs again and pay what it takes to get them. Also it proves they think fences work.
New Gallup poll asked what the country needs most. Republicans said patriotism. Democrats said equality, and put patriotism dead last at 6%. Equal treatment and equal opportunity, sure, Republicans want that too. The problem is when equality turns into equity, meaning identical outcomes, because thats how you get DEI programs that treat people differently by race. You help more people by having better people, not by forcing everyone to the same result.
Democrats are running on affordability now like they werent in charge when things got unaffordable. Prices went up about 21% from January 2021 to January 2025. Thats the hole we're still climbing out of. Gas is up again because of the Iran war, sure, but the base everything sits on was set under Biden, and the same people want the keys back to fix it.
I want states handling more of their own disasters, not less. But federal help shouldnt depend on who a state sends to the Senate. Every incumbent times things around a campaign, thats normal politics. Holding back help from people because you dont like their senator isnt right. Beat Ossoff on the issues.
A pastor saying he's a Christian who votes Democrat is making the rounds. I dont see how that works. If abortion is killing a child, and it is, you cant vote for the party that runs on protecting it. Feeding the hungry and helping the sick is something Christians should do with their own time and money, not a reason to hand the government a blank check. Add the push for trans and LGBTQ activism and it isnt close.
Obama wants to know whats radical about wanting everybody to have healthcare. Nothing. The radical part is the government deciding what care you get.
Meanwhile KFF says the average employer family plan hit $28,303 this year and workers are paying $7,471 of it, up 9% in one year. This from the guy who promised to cut the typical familys premium by $2,500 a year.
California gas averaged $5.53 a gallon in July while the rest of the country averaged $3.88. A lot of that gap is state policy. California has the highest state gas tax in the country at 63.4 cents a gallon, and its climate fuel rules add roughly another 46 cents on top of that. Republicans should be running on this in every race in California, and in a lot of other states too.
Ranked choice really is kind of a scam. A lot of voters never mark a second choice, so when their candidate gets dropped their ballot just stops counting, and someone who couldnt win head to head ends up winning. Murkowski is way too liberal for Alaska and this system is a big reason shes still there.
James Talarico said "God is nonbinary" on the Texas House floor in 2021 while arguing against the bill that keeps boys out of girls sports. Now that hes running for Senate he says he was just being "provocative" and that he knows there are two sexes. If you know there are two sexes, you know why that bill passed. Calling your old arguments provocative once you need Republican votes doesnt make you a moderate.
38 states and federal law already treat killing an unborn child during a violent crime as homicide. So the law admits theres a victim there. The only thing that changes in an abortion is whether the mother wanted the child, and a human life doesnt stop being one because someone didnt want it.
Births hit a record low in 2025, and the Social Security trust funds run dry in 2034 if Congress does nothing. Its a system that needs more workers paying in every year while fewer people are being born to do it. Let people opt out and put their money in private accounts they actually own. Thats better than a guaranteed 17% cut.
