I’m sorry, but to the “anti Christian Nationalism” Southern Baptists telling salt of the earth conservative Baptists to just “religious freedom harder!” or “separation of church and state max!” or “neutral public square even more!”… In light of real threats from rising Islam and sharia law Or the displacement of their family members and communities by non-Christian immigrants, both legal and illegal Or the moral confusion & disasters post-Obergefell And abortion on demand up until birth being legalized in states across America… …Just isn’t going to work And then on top of that, you guys get all fired up and try to slap the hands of a few brave Baptist voices like Al Mohler when he tried to offer some serious if hypothetical solutions And then some of you who represent major institutions essentially tell the entire next generation of young conservative Baptists that you don’t have any interest in engaging these topics and the conversation is over? And then secular pluralist baptists, who never had the courage to confront Russell Moore, cheer it on It’s embarrassing, frankly. It’s unserious. It is a failure of intellectual courage and a kind of adherence to “dead tradition” that doesn’t actually honor our Baptist forefathers Screaming about Baptists who suffered some persecution two hundred years ago as if that’s *relevant* today in the face of the Democrat Left that wants to persecute ALL Christians is absurd Who is going to stand up and lead us, as the largest Protestant denomination, to be serious about the dissolution of America’s moral foundation and offer visionary and maybe outside the box suggestions for reversing secularism and saving our nation for our children? I’ll tell you this—it’s not the Baptists who whine about Christian nationalism. If that’s all you’re doing, you’re taking yourself off the field.
