We’re excited to announce a new 5″ Portrait variant of our versatile Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2. It shares the same 720×1280-pixel resolution and easy setup as the 7″ panel, at the lower price of $40.

Is there any chance the backplane is cheap and readily available?

Yes, yes, where do I find a compatible larger sensor?

Board will take a regular pc psu, looks like over 40 gpio pins. Looks to be mini itx Guessing a so dim style cpu and memory so a 8 to 16 gb of ram en 6 to 8 cores. Board seems network storage oriented bit will do more. Oh and RGB fans, definitely RGB to make it fast

I was thinking this was not a feature on arm? Now I need an extra 1tb nvme so I can have some more memory available for my vm's. This would make me switch back to ESXi.

Looking forward to the ESXi feature where you can turn nvme storage into useable RAM for a VM.
Had some trouble a year back installing ESXi on my @Raspberry_Pi 5, networking would stop working after a reboot I think. Then I installed @TProxmox , now I have a #Proxmox cluster with "vMotion" and "vSAN" like features on a 2 node arm cluster.
No no, just the free part. Sometimes ESXi is free and sometimes it's not. Was wondering where we were today on the being free part. Arm fling for free, check ✅
