Now voting: 55.5M OSMO, gone for good.
Prop 1057 sends nearly half of the community pool's OSMO to the null address. That's about 7% of OSMO supply, and it takes total OSMO burned past 100M.
Voting ends 4 November.

I got fed up with Amazon not making it easy to choose local USA made goods--in fact their sellers are mostly Chinese sources that have thin USA fronts.
So I made an Amazon competitor.

Alloyed BTC is fully backed again.
The recovery approved in Prop 1044 is complete. The v32 upgrade moved the exploiter's 22.65 frozen BTC to the Liquidity SubDAO, and all 39.84 counterfeit nBTC has been removed from the alloy.
Backing went from 63.97% to 100%. No BTC holder takes any part of the loss.

Osmosis proposes burning 55.5M $osmo from its community pool, cutting total supply by ~7%.
The move would permanently remove a potential supply overhang after inflation was shut off.
Proposal expected to go onchain Oct. 30. Still pending approval.
Osmosis proposes burning nearly half its community pool
A new proposal on the @osmosis forum would send 55.5M $OSMO from the community pool to a burn address, permanently removing about 7% of the token’s supply. Added to the roughly 44.4M already burned, that would lift the all-time total to about 100M. It would leave about 63.8M OSMO in the pool for later use or another burn.
Asked whether validators can still be paid, proposal author Johnny Wyles pointed to a reserve of non-OSMO assets in the pool and more revenue now flowing to stakers. The proposal will go onchain for a vote on Friday.
Next stop: 100 million OSMO burned.
Proposed: burn 55.5M OSMO from the community pool, nearly half of what it holds. That cuts supply by about 7% and takes total OSMO burned past 100M.
Target onchain date: 30 October.

the is no $OSMO inflation
i love you
Flipped the switch.
OSMO inflation is off. Today's epoch came and went, and 0 new OSMO was minted, down from 91,324 a day.
Prop 1053 passed with 91.1% yes. From here, staking rewards come from protocol revenue, and every OSMO burned cuts supply.
New era.

Osmosis v32 is up for vote.
22.65 allBTC frozen on the exploiter's account goes to the Liquidity SubDAO to restore Alloyed BTC's backing, as Prop 1044 approved.
~$50K of tokens stuck in ProtoRev (mostly TIA, AKT, ETH) gets swapped to OSMO and burned.
Plus network stability fixes.
Voting ends Tue 27 Oct at 09:02 UTC. The upgrade targets 15:00 UTC the same day.

It's onchain: end OSMO inflation.
Prop 1053 takes new OSMO minted per day from 91,324 to zero. Staking rewards come entirely from protocol revenue, and every OSMO burned cuts supply. At the current burn rate, that's ~2% of supply a year.
Voting ends October 25.

Proposal: end OSMO inflation.
New OSMO minted per day goes to zero. At the current burn rate, that means ~2% of supply burned a year, with nothing minted to offset it.
Staking rewards would come entirely from protocol revenue.
In discussion now, targeting onchain October 20.

Two more steps in simplifying Osmosis are voting onchain.
Prop 1051: active validators go from 70 to 30.
Prop 1052: stakers' share of non-OSMO taker fees goes from 22.5% to 47.5%. The burn share is unchanged.
Voting ends October 14.

~17.4M $OSMO proposed to be burned. 🧪
That's +65% on top of all OSMO burned to date.
Two proposals would withdraw community pool liquidity that no longer does its job, and burn the recovered $OSMO.
