I think Hornet implies ringing of the bell is what keeps the threads and the hunted bugs away, could also be the reason why enemies don't reach Bellhart either.

Chapter 3 has 6 while Chapter 2 had 8 so I guess you could try and mix and match (Shadow guys already have the gimmick of being extras) and chp 2 all stars only has 5 rounds anyways. Adding the 7 from Chapter 4 would be way too many.

I guess when you look at them there seem to be a consistent way how the dojo is updated. Each chapter adds an extra new battle agaisnt an old enemy (Clover, TM, Weather duo) + the battle and grazing tutorials. (Kinda still wish there were more and that they did a Chp3 all stars)
