STRESS DOESN’T ALWAYS FEEL LIKE STRESS.
Sometimes it feels like tiredness;a short temper; awake at 3 am, thinking about something and nothing;feeling that you have nothing left to give.
We recognise stress in others long before ourselves.
Qu-one small thing helps you feel calmer?
REST IS NOT A REWARD YOU EARN
Many of us learned rest is something allowed after everything else is done.
Wellbeing isn't a complicated new routine. It starts with a small decision to not treat your own needs as inconvenient.
What small thing can you do for yourself this week?
You're told relax…immediately feel more tense?
That’s one reason in my sessions with clients, I use approaches that work with attention, breathing & the experience of calm, rather than simply telling people to “stop worrying.”
One approach doesn't suit everyone. Curious? Ask me.
YOUR BACK DOESN'T ASK 4 PERFECTION
The most expensive chair can still give back ache.
Why-the body likes variety.
Try this tomorrow-Change position regularly. Stand up when you can. Walk while you take a phone call. Give your shoulders a gentle roll.
There's not 1 magical posture
A HEADACHE AFTER WORK ISN’T ALWAYS “JUST STRESS”
Dull ache. Tight shoulders. Discomfort that begins at the neck.
Tempting to blame a busy day & carry on. Recurring headaches can have several causes, so pay attention to patterns rather than guessing get it assessed.
A new week often brings a long list of promises.
Walk more. Sleep better. Eat well. Stress less.
By Tuesday, the list feels like another job.
What if you made it smaller?
Choose one thing that fits your life this week.
What small act of care could you give yourself today?
WHAT IF YOU COULD CHANGE THE WAY YOU RESPOND TO STRESS?
Be able to switch off those racing thoughts?
Telling yourself to “just relax” rarely helps.
That’s one reason people become curious about hypnotherapy.
Have you ever been curious about how hypnotherapy works?
CHIROPRACTOR / OSTEOPATH? WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?
Both help with problems involving muscles, joints & movement; use hands-on techniques; advise exercise; help you understand your body & how the parts connect.
Most importantly-do you have informed choice? One you understand fully?
We think better health=more discipline/willpower/effort.
Healthy choices can be the easiest ones-Put water where you can see it.
Leave walking shoes by the door. Prepare something nourishing before you become hungry. Move your phone away from the bed.
Don’t push yourself harder.
YOUR BACK DOESN’T CARE WHAT YOUR PRACTITIONER IS CALLED-you should care how they approach the problem.
Your care shouldn’t be something simply done TO you.
It should be something you’re involved in.
Good care = partnership.
You deserve to understand every step of the way.
What do you reflect?
We may change the outside of our lives-buy something new/change our hair/tidy the house/smile for the camera/tell everyone we’re fine.
But what's happening inside?
Are you calm on the outside but exhausted underneath?
Is your life reflecting truth right now?
WHAT IF YOU COULD CHANGE THE WAY YOU RESPOND TO STRESS?
When your mind won’t switch off? Your thoughts keep racing?
Hypnotherapy uses guided attention and relaxation to help you explore thoughts, feelings & habits in a differently.
Have you ever been curious about hypnotherapy?
Your mind can react to something before it has even happened.
You imagine the worst case.
Nothing's happened yet but your body already responds.
Your heart beats faster/stomach tightens/breathing changes.
You want to avoid the situation.
Hypnotherapy helps you respond differently
The body is a chain of connected parts.
The ankle affects how you walk, this affects the knees & hips, this affects the lower back.
The upper back can affect how the shoulders & neck move.
This is why it's helpful to look beyond the place of pain. ?s You’re welcome to message me.
You know what you want to do. So why don't you?
Hypnotherapy helps some people slow down the automatic response, focus on change they want & rehearse more helpful ways forward.
It doesn’t take away choice. It helps thoughts, feelings & actions pull in the same direction.
Hypnotherapy isn’t mind control.
You don't sleep, reveal secrets, or lose control of what you say/do. It focuses your attention by deep relaxation to help you be more open to helpful ideas & new ways of responding.
You remain aware can stop at any time.
Question? Please do ask.
When turning becomes a three-point operation-
We twist less, void certain movements, quietly adjust the way we live.
It's important not to guess. A chiropractic assessment looks at how joints & muscles move, if care/exercise/lifestyle advice may help improve comfort & mobility.
What happens at a 1st chiropractic appointment?
Uncertainty is worse than the anticipation. A good 1st visit is a conversation & assessment - so you understand options, benefits/risks, have a plan before agreeing to treatment. No mystery & no pressure. Stop putting off. Ask.
There is no perfect sitting position, only a position your body is ready to change. Your body's made to move, not frozen in one pose for hrs.
Try this:
• Sit supported.
• Change position often.
• Stand up often.
• Take short walks between tasks.
• Noticeyour body's needs.
