Is it possible that the producers of The Batman 2 decided against announcing Brian Tyree Henry as Harvey Dent too far in advance to spare him a year of non-stop racist abuse everywhere he went online.

Anyway, he's a beautiful man who is one of the best actors of his generation. Some people can't take a win when they have it!

Based off of the title announcement for TES6 featuring Elden Ring-esque rune coloration I now fully believe this leak where Todd Howard cried in his office for an hour is real

Why is David Walliams trending so much these days, doesn't seem like he's got much going on on the work front

We’re about to learn which beloved actors are struggling to keep up with their mortgages
A ‘PADDY POWER’ biopic is in the works. The film will follow the rise of the Dublin-based gambling website Paddy Power. (Source: variety.com/2026/film/global…)

It’s pretty normal for artists to hate critics, so I don’t know why it’s always treated like aberrant behaviour. Waititi’s quite annoying but I also increasingly don’t relate to schadenfreude at artists going off the boil. I would really prefer it if his films were good!
Taika Waititi has called critics “sad lost souls” after ‘KLARA AND THE SUN’ became his lowest rated film ever on Rotten Tomatoes. “I haven't read a review of anything aimed at me or my peers in almost 15 years. But I do listen to the people. So this Halloween, let's spare a thought for those sad lost souls who couldn't achieve their dreams of becoming artists, and thus became critics. The same people who also hated Jojo Rabbit! Irrelevant. Out of touch. Obsolete. In the bin.”

Sounds a lot like how National Trust properties work in the UK.
My head canon is that the reason Picard works at his family’s vineyard despite the federation being post scarcity is that tourists from all human planets like having all this stuff preserved as kitsch. “A real French guy making real French wine, just like in ye olden days” All of Earth is like this

Obv it’s not good if people play with strangulation so often during sex it affects their long term health but many former footballers have CTE from heading the ball repeatedly, and I don’t think the UK gov are looking at banning football from TV?
Did you know that on the 6th of November 2026 the UK Government is banning the publication and possession of pornography depicting breath play, age-play, and incest? The maximum sentence for publication offences is five years imprisonment. This will affect publishers and consumers globally. The offences are, in simple terms: 1. Strangulation or suffocation. (2 years for possession, 5 years for publication) 2. Penetrative sexual activity between people pretending to be related. (2 years for possession, 5 years for publication) 3. Sexual activity between two people where (a reasonable person would think) at least one person is, or is pretending to be, under sixteen. (3 years for possession, 5 years for publication) I have provided criminal and obscenity law advice to UK and global creators, producers, platforms, and consumers on pornography publication and possession offences since 2006. Please feel free to contact me at [email protected] for formal legal advice. gov.uk/guidance/crime-and-po…

The banter option would have been making it illegal to publish the so-called extreme stuff on anything other than VHS.
In the UK, you can now feasably receive a 5 year prison sentence if you record yourself having oral sex while possessing too large of a penis.

Really grateful to Andrew Garfield that every time I read a quote from Sam Altman I can now imagine Garfield pulling that horrible simpering insincere face he does in Artificial.
NEW: Sam Altman says it’s “quite terrible” for everyday people to own RAM, arguing it belongs in data centers.

Okay let’s not get back on suggesting gender nonconformity is inherently predatory, believe it or not most horrible men come across as stereotypically normal blokes.

What really connects the three men listed here is that in all cases a lot of people around them, including male collaborators with reputations for being really nice, knew what they were up to and continued to hire and associate with them!

People are obsessed with the idea that anyone with a degenerative illness who is in public & working must be being exploited. Both misunderstands what lacking capacity means and assumes that anyone visibly disabled would be too ashamed to venture outside of it was up to them.

I remember that supposedly investigative piece about Bruce Willis that seemed to largely amount to crew who didn’t know him personally saying looking at him made them sad and they, complete strangers, didn’t think he’d want to be seen like that.

Anyway, while it sounds like Patrick Stewart’s dementia progressed quickly, you can also have dementia and still have capacity to accept a job offer, and with the right support there’s no reason someone can’t keep doing the thing they love as long as they want to & are able.

So many people I know have expressed confusion that this is being treated like new information as they had no idea it hadn’t already been formally reported on. Common knowledge for years and years.

I seem to remember drivers with ADHD are significantly more likely to cause an accident than someone who’s drunk at the wheel so this seems a pretty reasonable measure!
🚨 NEW: People with ADHD can now get a third off train tickets under Government changes to the disabled railcard to include people with neurodivergence

Thing with chronic pain is sometimes you're having a really rough sesh and think, pretty crazy it can hurt this badly and I can't go to hospital, or freak out about it, or treat it as an emergency that requires other people to pause for me, because it's just my life!

It has correctly identified it needs to be BBC 2/Channel 4 comedy, not BBC1. That's where we've been starved lately.
snl uk is legitimately phenomenal

Obv most people interested in media understand the UK has the publicly funded BBC & BBC1 is our biggest TV network. I wonder how many know the gov deliberately created BBC2 as a niche & experimental TV network, then ALSO funded Channel 4 so it had a competitor.
