It's been suggested that I change my pin tweet to something more current. Until I think of what that is, here's something less current.

Further to previous money announced for the parks, there's a survey for users of Govanhill Park & Maxwell Square (and some parks that aren't wardjacent) about what sort of things they'd like to see in the revamp.

Great meeting of Southside Central Area Partnership. Very pleased that we agreed to provide funding through the Neighbourhood Infrastructure Fund for a new heating system for the Dixon Community and to support a community led plan to re-open Langside Halls.
If you've got a bike, want someone to give it a once over free of charge while you have a potter about town, there's folk doing that at the Citz tomorrow.
The Citizens now comes with it's own craft lager. Because you don't want to be sitting waiting for your Guinness to settle during the interval...
Had a chance to sub on to CAC today and have approved ยฃ482k for improvements around Carlton Place and the South Portland Street Suspension Bridge. North Laurieston is the Southside's front door and it's great to see further investment in the area coming in the next twelve months.

The Scottish Government's commitment to allocating 1% of public budgets to participatory budgeting (PB), empowering local communities to have a direct say in how public funds are spent. Do locals know this is how it works?

What does it mean to be a refugee in Glasgow? What support is available in Govanhill? And how can Community Sponsorship enrich my area?

Very sad to hear this. Jim was already a councillor when I first moved to the Gorbals and was always friendly whenever we were chatting before or after meetings. I'm sure he'll be missed across the council.
