Just to jump on the bandwagon here, I feel I should point out I'm BellisDoesBooks across the board (just in case you're worried about missing my sporadic, inconsistent and almost exclusively book related musings should things go even more tits up)

Oh Sprinkles!! Look what's arrived - from the team that brought us 'A Child of Books' comes 'The Dictionary Story' and it's every bit as detailed, beautiful, funny, clever and joyous as you'd expect (Rachael very much enjoyed giggling away at her copy last night!)
You (and I!) never know when a new post will pop up on my poor, sidelined blog but today's the day!
My review of the wonderful Bird Boy by @catherinebruton is up, although it was so hard to put into words all the things this book made me think and feel.

First thing Peapod said this morning* - "I love books! And comics! Shall we make a comic - do you want to be in my comic club?"
Yes. Yes I do.
*OK, the actual first thing he said was "do you know how to do air-jitsu?" but after that...!

π¨ So, it appears #ToriesAreOut - lots of them will be looking for jobs. Can you help?
ππ» Please share the #ToryMPAppeal.
Guys, can someone please make an 'I wanna see the sunshine after the rain' video of Sunak announcing the election and Starmer accepting the role?

This might just be the best video I've seen in the last 4 years lol

Happy publication day @MelTBessent and thank you @FarshoreBooks for this super fun Imagination Island parcel - I can't wait to visit!
This is such a great book. My review in case you missed it first time round is here: bellisdoesbooks.blogspot.comβ¦
Our Children's Book of the Month for July comes from the brilliant @mossmontmomery and is a must for animal-lovers.
Rachael says: "'Good dog' Rebel finds himself on a journey filled with danger, friendship, foes and survival in this warm-hearted historical adventure."
I am. I think he'll be bloody brilliant.
Rachael's made up to hear that the one and only @frankcottrell_b is our new Children's Laureate.
Knowing how passionate he is about the magic of children's books & about reading for pleasure for all, and knowing how funny & full of heart his books are we know he'll do big things!

Awesome #bookpost this week!
Isn't the finished Lori Mills stunning? Review on the blog.
I've just read the first chapter of Bird Boy and I know I'm going to love it every bit as much as No Ballet Shoes in Syria!
I've heard such good things about Inkbound so I'm excited for that
OK, #booktwitter - what do we follow the Treehouse books with?
He's LOVED them, so we need something just as bonkers to go on to...
We've got a Butchart, the new Andy Griffiths & @B_forButterfly & @chainborne came up with Fortunately, the Milk and the Mr Gum books - what else?!
