Mercado Bitcoin, Brazil’s biggest exchange, got hit hard. Yesterday, hackers drained about $38M from its wallets across ten different chains. Tether, Circle, and Paxos jumped in to freeze the stolen stablecoins, managing to lock down $11M (about 29% of the total) by this morning.
But that 29% only tells half the story. While the stablecoins were being frozen, the attacker was already busy dumping other assets. Emmett Gallic from Arkham noted that the hacker was sweeping old deposit addresses and offloading various memecoins and altcoins.
You can't freeze a memecoin like you can a stablecoin because there is no central authority to hit a kill switch. This is exactly why hackers move at lightning speed. They swap stolen stables into assets that are harder to claw back.
This is a massive wake-up call. We have seen two major exchange breaches in just one month, and both times, users were left with frozen withdrawals during the chaos.
To protect yourself, do not leave your life savings on a centralized exchange. Only keep what you are actively trading there. Always use withdrawal address whitelisting to lock down where your money can go, and keep your long-term holdings in a private wallet where you hold the keys.

I Just Want to Send $100, Why Is Crypto Making It So Complicated?
I want to send someone $100, I have USDC on Base, but the person receiving it wants USDT on Arbitrum.
You'd expect a simple payment, right? But in crypto, you may have to swap your tokens, bridge them to another network, arrange gas fees and approve several transactions before the money reaches the other person.
I've always found this part of crypto interesting. Sending value across different networks is possible, but completing a simple payment can still require quite a bit of work.

Over 1,400 people have already jumped into the @FungoLabs X campaign.
You connect your X account on their launchpad, pick your 5 best posts about Fungo, and submit them.
Only posts published on or after November 1 at 14:00 UTC count, so anything older won't help you.
Nobody sees the leaderboard until the campaign closes, and rewards land at TGE, which keeps everyone guessing until the very end.
I also looked at the tokenomics before getting in.
There's a total supply of 10B $FUNGO
- 36% going to Genesis NFT holders and
- 7% to Zama OG holders
- The team keeps 10%, and that sits behind a 12-month cliff before vesting slowly over another 36 months, so insiders have a long wait before any of it unlocks.
🟨 $FUNGO X Campaign is live!
Reward pool: 300,000,000 $FUNGO
→ Connect your X on Fungo Campaign
→ Submit your 5 best Fungo posts
Posts from 2026-11-01 14:00 UTC onward count.

Someone in Binance's replies yesterday said he tried to pull his $USDT on ERC20, the balance was sitting right there, and the app kept telling him "insufficient balance." He wasn't the only one, and in most of these cases the money is fine.
Binance reopened withdrawals in phases on Sunday after the $6.3B hack, starting with $BTC, $ETH, $USDT, $USDC, $BNB, $XRP and a handful of other networks. Between 06:00 and 15:30 UTC they processed $4.65B going out and $1.01B coming in, so about $3.64B net left, which they put at 2.1% of the $171B they hold. DefiLlama's dashboard counts it higher, at $4.36B
If you're moving funds this week, first check that your exact coin and network are in the phase that's live, and that the funds sit in the wallet you're withdrawing from, because those two cause most of the scary errors. Send a small test before the full amount and give the queue a few hours instead of spamming retries. Pulling to self-custody is a fine call, just do it calmly.
Withdrawal Update
Withdrawals have now been restored for the following assets and networks:
- Ethereum Network: USDC, USDT, ETH
- BNB Smart Chain (BSC): USDC, USDT, BNB
We will continue to restore additional assets and networks in phases following the completion of our security checks. Further updates will be shared through official Binance channels.

Stablecoins moved $28 trillion onchain in 2025.
But sending a friend $100 in the token and chain they actually want is still a mess that breaks most wallets. A bank app only takes one step.
@PrismPayxyz is building to close that gap. I dug into how it works, and where it might still fail 🧵

The Binance Hack: A breakdown of what happened and how it occurred.
Feel free to watch the video for the full story.
This goes out beyond the bone of contention, but someone asked Binance a question yesterday that nobody wants to answer. If the stolen funds are covered, what happens to the people who were liquidated?
Over $1.6B in positions were wiped out in the 24 hours following the hack news, and $1.35B of that total belonged to long positions. None of that money is coming back because a hack refund covers the exchange's wallets, whereas a liquidation is simply the market executing its natural functions.
The lesson is that venue risk must be factored into your position sizing. When an exchange freezes withdrawals, your collateral stays trapped while the market panics, turning a normal price wick into a forced liquidation.
The practical solution is to keep your leverage low enough that your liquidation price sits past a 15% move, use isolated margin so one bad trade cannot destroy your entire account, and never keep all of your collateral on the same exchange where you are trading.
You should size your positions for the day the exchange breaks, because that is the day the wick comes.

Trezor just told everyone who bought a Safe 5 from a reseller called CryptoBilis since March to stop trusting it, because one of those units was found with an extra board inside that could read your seed phrase straight off the screen.
Ledger is dealing with something similar from resellers in Southeast Asia.
The whole point of a hardware wallet is that nobody else touches it before you do, and buying from a reseller quietly breaks that.
If yours came from anywhere other than the maker's own store, set it up with a brand new seed and move your funds over. It takes twenty minutes, and it's a lot cheaper than finding out the hard way.
CryptoBilis update
We've been made aware, through responsible disclosure, of a single hardware implant in a Trezor Safe 5 device bought from the reseller CryptoBilis in August 2026.
No CryptoBilis buyer has reported a loss of funds to us.
IMPORTANT: If you bought a Trezor from CryptoBilis from March 2026 onwards, we know this is unsettling. Here’s what to do:
Already using it?
Move your funds to a newly created wallet with a new seed as soon as possible. Do not reuse the old seed in any wallet, hardware or software. If you don’t have another secure hardware wallet available, we recommend temporarily migrating your funds to a software wallet or an exchange you are familiar with.
Not set up yet? Don’t set it up, and never enter your existing wallet backup on it.
We haven’t received the device to confirm this report, but based on the customer’s description, we’re treating it as credible and sharing it now so customers who purchased a Trezor via CryptoBilis can secure their funds as a precaution. Our security team will examine the device as soon as it arrives.
On October 9, 2026, we removed CryptoBilis as a reseller following reports of tampered Ledger devices sold through it. Since then, we have been inspecting Trezor devices that customers bought from CryptoBilis and have found no signs of tampering on any of the four devices we’ve received so far.
NEVER share your wallet backup (recovery phrase) with anyone. Trezor Support will never ask for it.
If you are affected by this incident, please keep your CryptoBilis device and contact Support to receive a new Trezor hardware wallet: trezor.io/support#open-chat
We're investigating and will post updates here as soon as we know more. Thank you to the customer who reported this through our responsible disclosure program, and to @SEAL_911 for working alongside our teams on the response. Reports and engagement like this help us protect everyone else.

OpenGap.xyz is live.
Buy tokenized stocks when they're cheaper.
That is the whole product.
Tokenized names already trade 24/7 on @solana. @PreStocks @Tessera_PE T-tokens. Listed @xStocksFi . Jupiter will quote you a live price. The issuer publishes a different number. Those two prints are not the same. Most UIs show you one of them and call it “the price.”
We built the desk that shows both and only calls it a trade when live is cheaper than official.
How to read a row?
- Tape is the live price on @JupiterExchange. It is what you actually pay if you buy right now.
- Mark is the official reference from the issuer (PreStocks, or @YahooFinance on listed names). It is not a quote you can lift.
- Green means tape is cheaper than mark. That gap is the trade.
- Red is a premium. You are paying more than official.
To mark = (tape − mark) / mark.
This is not a broker. This is not a brokerage account. This is not equity in @SpaceX or @OpenAI. You buy a Solana token that tracks a claim. If you want the cash stock, this is the wrong site.
Four desks. One rule.
1. PreStocks - private-company tape. Jupiter vs the issuer mark. Buy or sell in solana:EPjFWdd5AufqSSqeM2qN1xzybapC8G4wEGGkZwyTDt1v or solana:So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112 with @phantom or any Wallet Standard wallet. One Jupiter signature.
2. Tessera - same Buy button, different claim. solana:oPAiAikWTaFj9RYoRFD35ccfwhnMcB3ThgBZRHSkjTZ is a loan token, not solana:3t5HU8Xfy8Pn7Wvd9LCKyaVLTuK4zcm1gspfJxb1pump . Same brand, not the same thing.
3. Listed stocks - Yahoo cash vs the on-chain xStock tape. Evidence only. No fake “buy $AAPL ” button.
4. Launch - the public @Open_Gap agent. It watches the same tape. It can buy a $5 lot when a name is at least 3% cheap.
Open a name from search. Or go straight in: opengap.xyz/?buy=SPACEX
Replay the guide: opengap.xyz/?tour=1
Portfolio is your lots plus fills from this browser: opengap.xyz/portfolio
What is the bot allowed to do?
Buy only at −3% or better.
$5 a lot. $15 inventory cap. One name per turn. Same name waits 12 hours.
Pause or a dry wallet stops it.
It does not mint another coin. $OPENGAP is already live. A human launched that mint on purpose.
$OPENGAP
CA: Fvto3QgSLbcWdq331BoR66RDkT7dZYgTS9JzbntMf7rD
Launched 24 Sep 2026 on @clawpumptech against this account.
Utility: AnsemHack entry ticket and creator-fee share. Not equity. Not the product. The desk is the company. The token is membership/fee share if the tape has volume.
There is no second memecoin. The stock-paired pool is a Meteora DAMM, not another ticker:
OPENGAP / SPACEX:
Why does this exist?
Private-company “stocks on-chain” arrived before a readable tape did. Naive unit math on Token-2022 ScaledUiAmount makes OPENAI and SPACEX look insane. Tessera and PreStocks get collapsed into one logo. A launch tab that mints a meme next to a stock tape is a different product wearing the same jacket.
We shipped one site that says: here is official, here is what you pay, green means buy, $5 if the bot agrees.
Built on Solana mainnet. Routes through Jupiter. Hops on @MeteoraAG. Open source.
Who is it for?
Traders who already know these prints can sit away from the official.
People who will connect a wallet and sign a swap.
Anyone who wants the agent, the tape, and the mint in one place - not a thread with no product.

In 2021, our idea of crypto going mainstream was celebrities changing their pfps to cartoon apes and promoting NFT drops on talk shows. It was fun to watch, but a lot of retail ended up as exit liquidity, and very little of it actually got built.
Now look at what happened this week alone.
DTCC, the company behind US stock settlement, went live with tokenized securities. Thirty-four of them can now move between wallets 24/7.
ICE, the company that owns the New York Stock Exchange, put money into a project building on Hyperliquid.
Hyperliquid itself has burned about 5% of $HYPE max supply, using revenue the protocol actually earns.
Tokenized real-world assets are sitting near $40B in distributed value, and the number of holders is growing faster than the capital coming in.
None of this is going viral on a talk show. It's happening in the back office of finance, which is where real adoption was always going to happen.
The same people who laughed at crypto in 2021 are the ones plugging into it today.
If you're still here after the jpeg era, you're early to the part that actually matters. Lock in.
