"a private jet crashed in Florida" is 100% one of the contexts where I trust Bill Ackman to know a guy who knows what's going on
From a pilot I trust:
It is too early to tell all of the factors that played a roll but likely complacency and inexperience. From the ATC audio tape and radar (see below) I would say inexperienced pilot or pilots and obviously weather. They likely flew into the storms and iced up.
The Lear has a very critical wing and if they iced up in the thin air at altitude, they likely experienced a power on stall which can result in an upset and or snap roll. As they asked to climb, we know they were likely at a very high power setting.
Investigation should provide more insight as to whether they had the radar on or not and the training records as well as experience levels of the crew and any difficulty they may have had over the years with training. They will
also rebuild their days before the flight looking at any causal factors like fatigue.
This should not have happened. I have a video of the impact and the plane appears to be intact just before impact.
We absolutely would not cross a line of storms like that while descending into them.
most people don't this but if you want to convert to Judaism, you actually have to tell the New York Times three times before you're allowed to convert
"set in Alaska, the film reimagines the classic, with mosquitos taking the place of birds"
I'm still calling it "the novel coronavirus"
Even the All-In guys seem to have given up on "super intelligence"

the Flavio Bolsonaro saga just cannot hold a candle to the Carlos Ghosn escape plan, which was truly one of the most insane stories and it just got completely buried in the collective memory because it happened in late 2019

I can highly recommend Luke for a position on Anthropic's board -- he'd bring the specific quality of being annoying in meetings, but in a totally different way than anyone else currently at Anthropic

@DarioAmodei Where can I apply for one of those Anthropic board seats devoted to making sure things are going okay for humanity?

I've been lucky enough to watch Harry Kane up close since 2011. My piece on his pursuit of mastery and his endless capacity to surprise.
