Very excited that Werwolf is up for preorder at @LegionWargames. Who would have thought that two history teachers @Clint_Davey1 could make a game about alternate history! Admittedly I'm biased, but it really is worth a look!

Well, Cancon Lard Zone is a wrap. Running my O Group 'Last Train to Krupki' game was great fun. In both games the Soviets kept the pressure up, but were unable to bypass the German blocking position. Thanks to MJ, Tim, Martin, Jeremy, and everyone else wo played. #spreadthelard
First run of my O Group game at Cancon, set during Bagration in June '44. The Soviets fought hard to capture Krupki, but in a bitter engagement the Germans managed to slip away under cover of darkness. Running again tomorrow, we shall see how my voice holds out! #spreadthelard
Epic game of Chain of Command 2 at Cancon put on @PainterTactical today. Fall of Königsberg in early '45. My Volksgrenadiers fought courageously, but went down in the end to aggressive Soviet SMG troops. #spreadthelard

NEW REPORT: History should be taught to all children up to the age of 16. The call has been endorsed by the distinguished historians Niall Ferguson @nfergus , Lord (Andrew) Roberts @aroberts_andrew and Dominic Sandbrook ('The Rest is History') @dcsandbrook .
At present, most children (55%) stop learning history at 14. That is why our exclusive new poll reveals such little knowledge of history among young adults. Three quarters say they don't know about Admiral Nelson. More than half say they don't know about Oliver Cromwell, a vital figure in the development of our democracy.
Britain is an outlier among OECD countries in not teaching history up to the age of 16. This should be changed so we give a rounded education to the citizens and voters of the future. Press release and report below.

Some pictures from my 15mm O Group game at CANCON. Set in July 1944, it pitted a scratch force of Luftwaffe, Hungarians, and a few Wiking Panthers defending thr old Tsarist hunting lodge at Biełowieża from the advancing troops of Pliev's cavalry mechanised group. #spreadthelard
Last minute push to finish everything for my Cancon O Group game set during Bagration, pitting German Luftwaffe and Hungarians against the spearhead of Rokossovsky's 65th Army. I've 3d modelled the Tsar's hunting lodge, which is my current focus for painting. #spreadthelard
Filters and decals on, was planning on getting more done today, but baby Fred decided that sleep was for the weak! Pinwashes and final details tomorrow. ##FestiveTankChallenge24
Camo patterns all done, these early Panzer IV ausf Js will be from the 12th SS in Normandy. Camouflage patterns are based on plates from the excellent 'Panzers in the Bocage' book. Tomorrow, decals, varnish, filter, then on to details and weathering. ##FestiveTankChallenge24
Got the airbrush out this morning before the heat and humidity set in. I'll try to get the camo applied tonight when it cools off. #FestiveTankChallenge24

And we are back on line. All working well, orders processing successfully and correctly. Apologies for our absence. It is a huge relief to be back.
Kicked off the Op Martlet Pint Sized Campaign with a few mates. It's a tough one for the Brits, but thanks to a combination of smoke and an AVRE, they pushed through the outskirts of Fontenay le Pesnel. CoC is brilliant, so many challenging command decisions. #spreadthelard

A new Pint Sized campaign arrives, just in time for the launch of the Far East Handbook tomorrow. A Driving Charge is a great introductory campaign set in 1941 in Malaya. As always, it's the price of a pint. toofatlardies.co.uk/product/…
