Congratulations to Julian Assange.
The US extradition request is a fraud and must fail. Sweden, Ecuador, the UK and US have shamelessly persecuted a man who courageously reported about US war crimes. Assange is a hero and an example for real journalism without fear or favor.

Before laughing at a joke, ask yourself:
• Does the joke avoid offensive subject matter?
• Is the comic representative of a marginalised group?
• Can you be sure the comic has never said or done anything problematic?
If the answer to any of these is no...
DO. NOT. LAUGH.

So there I was. Walking back to my hotel. Minding my own fucking business. And this bar jumps right out in front of me all threatening and shit. Like it thinks it can take ME?

The period between detecting a woman's anger and determining it's cause ... is called misery.

Over the course of my career I’ve had to learn everything the hard way. There are no shortcuts in the music business.

My college writing teacher gave me a C+ and told me to stick to my day job. Over 1m words, 11 books, 2 award nominees and 2 best sellers later ... I can officially tell him to fuck off.
Use those tears to power your words.
My creative writing teacher just said I should wait 10 years to publish a book or I’ll regret it. He called my book a burner novel, he’s never seen it. When I tried to protest he said I was stubborn and impatient.
Please tell me he’s wrong, I’m crying.

As long as record labels treat fans as one-dimensional customers, they will continue to fail. They have lost touch with what sustains a music career. It’s not about the hit of the moment. It’s about the connection the fan has with the artist. Think long term.

One of the painful signs of years of dumbed-down education is how many people are unable to make a coherent argument. They can vent their emotions, question other people's motives, make bold assertions, repeat slogans—anything except reason.
