No boos tonight at Ball Arena after Nikola Jokic’s reprimand. But a lot of uncomfortable silence as the Nuggets fall 134-114 to the previously winless Golden State Warriors. Denver is 1-2 with a two-game trip to New Orleans and Phoenix coming up.
Aaron Gordon gets ejected for its 8:34 remaining and the Nuggets trailing 108-91. He was letting the refs hear it after an illegal screen was called against Christian Braun, who said “that’s terrible.”
Another Nuggets timeout 93 seconds after halftime… They’re playing with fire at home again, down 69-60 to reeling Warriors.
Nuggets trail Golden State 60-56 at halftime despite limiting Steph Curry to 3 points and 1 FGA. Yaxel leading all scorers with 15.
Nuggets answered with an 8-0 run to steady the ship. Couple of minutes later, they won a challenge to get a DeMar DeRozan offensive foul overturned to an and-one. DeRozan has 12 points on 5/9 FG in the first half.
Warriors start the second quarter at Ball Arena on a 13-4 run against Denver’s second unit, even with two starters (Gordon and Braun) staggering. David Adelman needs a timeout down 41-36.
