We understand this process has been difficult, and we appreciate your patience as we finalized the winding down of the project and the distribution of the remaining treasury funds. As promised in our official statement, the final step of dissolving the treasury and distributing the remaining assets to all token holders (based on the snapshot taken at the time of the announcement) is now complete. The Treasury Distribution Claim Contract has been deployed, and claiming is now available. --- ### ✅ Who Qualifies for the Claim? - Holders of the $BERACHAIN token qualify for this distribution. The total funds remaining in the treasury have been distributed pro rata (linearly) based on the amount of $BERACHAIN held by each wallet at the time of the snapshot. - A Note on NFT Holders: We did not take a separate snapshot of NFT holders because they were already included in the initial distribution. If you held an NFT, you received $BERACHAIN tokens during the migration process. Therefore, as long as you have not sold those tokens, your wallet is already included in this claim based on the quantity of $BERACHAIN tokens you held at the snapshot time. - Important: $BERACHAIN tokens held by the Liquidity Pool (LP) and the project treasury were NOT counted towards the distribution amount. OFFICIAL STATEMENT Dear cum-unity, After much reflection and debate, our team has made the difficult decision to end up the project. We have retired Proof of Bera, taken a snapshot of all holders, and the remaining treasury will be dissolved and distributed proportionally based on the number of tokens existing at the time of the snapshot. We have also removed the liquidity from the pool, and soon we will explain in detail how the distribution to holders will be carried out. (Snapshot already taken) This was not an easy decision. We have invested countless hours, energy, and passion into building something we truly believed could bring value to the Berachain ecosystem. However, several factors have prevented us from continuing: - Despite our repeated efforts, we were unable to secure support from the Berachain Foundation. - Our attempts to integrate with Proof of Liquidity (PoL) were unsuccessful, as we did not meet the qualification criteria. - While we made solid progress on the Proof of Bera backend, we were unable to find a frontend developer to help us launch a public proof of concept. - We approached several projects about integrating Proof of Bera into their token launches, but sadly saw little interest in its adoption, a discouraging outcome for a concept we deeply believed in. - Berachain network itself is currently seeing very little activity. With almost no new token launches or competition for minting, our core idea (using Proof of Bera to allocate whitelist slots or enable on-chain participation) simply has no current utility. - Most importantly, our team has worked tirelessly, without compensation, for months. Continuing to do so without significant momentum has become unsustainable. We sincerely apologize and are deeply sorry to those who purchased the largest number of tokens, and we can only hope this process helps them recover some of their losses. — The Worst Team Ever
