Why would the Bitcoin community be wise to embrace Cardano? This question deserves some attention. Two Reasons: 1) Bitcoin can do almost nothing without 3rd party software. As it's currently structured, Bitcoin can do almost nothing on its own, and all the other supposedly "Bitcoin native" scalability/smart contract solutions are in reality no more native to BTC than Cardano is and far less decentralized. For Bitcoin to do anything more than send BTC back and forth, it needs help from some third party like an L2 OR another L1 that it can seemlessly interact with, like Cardano 2) Cardano represents Bitcoin's fastest path to a robust, scalable, and feature-rich smart contact experience. While there are a number of scalability/smart contract solutions being built by members of the Bitcoin community, they all either struggle to build compelling products (since Bitcoin wasn't designed with enshrined L2's in mind) or end up essentially having to build their own Bitcoin compatible chain from square one. Taking the second approach is insanely difficult as it's incredibly difficult bootstrap a truly decentralized validator set, a good smart contract platform takes years to form, and most people never even hear about the project. In contrast, Cardano was designed with Bitcoin compatibility in mind from the start (eUTXO), its validator distribution is one of the best in the industry and its smart contract platform is now both very well developed and the most provably secure in the industry. And BTC holders will be able to use it without even having to buy ADA or open a new wallet. New users may think they're just using Bitcoin. 😱 Conclusion: I could be wrong, so please enlighten me if I am, but from where I sit it seems like Cardano is Bitcoin's only pathway to a compelling smart contract experience before the next bull run, and that could mean the difference between millions of people buying or not buying BTC.
