75 years ago today I hit three homers in Detroit. It was my sixth 3-HR game, a record I still hold (with Sammy Sosa and Mookie Betts). Unfortunately, the Tigers whipped us, which means my team lost five of those six games. Dang. #Yankees #bigcat @UnivNebPress #BaseBall
This was a big day for me back in '53. I notched my 2,000th career base hit, which ain't too shabby. Hey, buy BIG CAT. You can get it for 50% off now. Use this code (6SUMM25) here: nebraskapress.unl.edu/nebras…
This is me in 1932 at 19. Earlier that spring, on April 4, playing for Piedmont College, I hit the longest homer anyone ever saw in Tifton, Georgia. It's in BIG CAT. Get it here bit.ly/468WN7f for 40% off with this code: 6BAB25
I'm a music guy. Most people don't know that my agent and co-author was Murray the K, the 5th Beatle. Read about it in "Big Cat," which is 40% off right now. Use this code: 6BAB25. Get it here: bit.ly/468WN7f

I've seen every Super Bowl and can't figure out why so many folks (all of them white, turns out) are so upset by last night's halftime show. I thought it was good. Anyway, I was always the quiet type when I was alive, especially if I didn't have a clue about something.
My ears are burnin' in a nice way. Check out @GoodSeatsStill, the best sports history podcast around. They discuss me and the new bio about me, "Big Cat." Enjoy: goodseatsstillavailable.com/…

Some good sports news.
Thanks to all the @tigers fans who tuned in this year. You all have been so kind in welcoming me to your city and state.
Big news on Christmas Day in 1934: I was sold to the Reds. Spent all of 1935 Spring Training with them, but they sent me back to the Cardinals. Read all about it in "Big Cat." 50% off with this code 6HLW24 when you order here: bit.ly/468WN7f

My sincere condolences go out to Rickey Henderson's family and friends. He left the world too soon. Now, I suppose, we have a new leadoff hitter to share that role with Cool Papa Bell for our team here in the Elysian Fields.
Hey, y'all, this has been my best year since 1993, when I was last alive. Thanks to everyone who helped with my comeback. especially @TheFourCrickets, who wrote a great book about me, and @UnivNebPress, who published it.

I completely endorse this message. My man Pete belongs in the @baseballhall, and though I've had to settle for the digital version here in the afterlife, I recommend getting a copy here: kentuckypress.com/9781985900…
My favorite baseball book of 2024 (well, except for mine about @BigCatMize ). Author @Tim_Newby9 breathes 3D humanity into a forgotten 19th century action hero, @Pete__Browning, who belongs in the @baseballhall. Here's where you can get the book: kentuckypress.com/.../the-or…
Dude who wrote about me also wrote about an interesting fella named @colbrucehampton. You should check it out.
Bruce Hampton once said "@LeftoverSalmon are the only band to make state birds evaporate & then get healthy." @TheFourCrickets heard many of those things & wrote an amazing book about Bruce. Pick up a copy now for the music freaks on your shopping list!

With the baseball season wrapped up, it's a good time to catch up on your baseball reading. I'd be much obliged if you check out this little beauty from @UnivNebPress.

I learned pretty early that baseball was a business, first and foremost. Every year with the @Cardinals, as soon as the season was over, I'd be mentioned as trade bait. .

This is me and Howard Finster, together in some other dimension. I admire Howard's visual artistry and he admired my hitting artistry. Go to Finster Fest this Saturday and visit the guy who wrote BIG CAT (about me). @nut_history @BaseballProject @TheFourCrickets
On this day in 1950 I hit a home run in each game of a doubleheader, lifting the @Yankees into first place. One of 'em was off Bob Feller. Not a bad day for the Big Cat.
