Sounds like BC premier designate Lorne Doerksen will be picking his cabinet soon, and as an interested observer and a person in recovery, I’m voicing support for Claire Rattée, MLA for Skeena, for Minister of Mental Health and Addictions.
I've had the opportunity to show Claire some of the recovery services in BC, and she played a big part in bringing my documentary Resurrection to the Legislature for a private screening with representatives from all political parties.
I consider Claire a friend and I admire her willingness to work across party lines. I value our conversations about recovery, just as I do with anyone who shares a commitment to helping people get the support they need.
