Budgeting means making tough choices; thank you to Mayor Solomon, for engaging with residents throughout the tax and budget hearings. The process isn’t always easy, but public participation matters. I call on the Mayor and City Council to start preparing for the 2027 budget.

The County is out helping the City of Jersey city in some key areas. I want to thank County Executive Craig Guy for helping during this storm. This is what our community does!

Last night I was honored to administer the oath of office to the new Ward B Councilman Joel Brooks. Joel won the trust of the voters, and was officially inaugurated to serve Ward B. This is a great step forward for Ward B and the City of Jersey City. Congratulations, Joel!

Congratulations to Commissioner Suarez! Commissioner Suarez and her team deliver effective constituent services. When we refer residents to her office with housing-related issues, they respond quickly and help move matters toward resolution.
I am thrilled to announce that current Commissioner of the Department of Community Affairs, Jacquelyn Suarez, has agreed to continue to serve the people of New Jersey as the Commissioner of DCA in my administration. Commissioner Suarez has served New Jersey in many different capacities over the years and her work with local governments, on veteran homelessness, and to support small businesses has earned her respect across the state. The DCA will play a critical part of my agenda to reform permitting processes, build housing, and expand shared services to lower taxes. I am excited to have Commissioner Suarez as a key partner in these efforts to help build a more affordable Garden State. Welcome to the team, Commissioner Suarez!

I'm tired of Jim McGreevey rambling on about how $1,000 rents are impossible and his self-serving claim that he is "Old Jersey City's Savior." There's a lot of good reasons why 75% of Jersey City voters chose a candidate other than McGreevey.

I am honored to receive Pam Johnson’s support. Over the years, I have been proud to work with Pam to empower the community to make Jersey City safer such as Arrive Together and violence interruptors, and have seen firsthand her commitment and dedication to the Southside of our city. We both know that transparent and compassionate leadership is essential. Together, I look forward to building a Jersey City that is more affordable, dynamic, and truly a place where everyone can thrive.

Today, I was honored to join @BillOdeaJC, @MussabAliJC, Christina Freeman, @TomZuppaJC, @JoelBrooks4JC, @jake_ephros, and Registrar Jeff Dublin to share our vision of unity for a better Jersey City. These folks ran great campaigns with one clear priority: to create a city that everyone can afford. With their support, our campaign is ready to win on December 2nd and get to work on behalf of the people.
