Ahead of Israel’s elections and emboldened by Trump, Netanyahu has escalated his attacks on Palestinians—displacing thousands in the West Bank while continuing to bomb Gaza. Americans are tired of their tax dollars being used to displace, murder, and collectively punish millions of Palestinians. We must end our complicity in Netanyahu's campaign of terror. Eight years ago, our nation and the Jewish community suffered a horrific antisemitic act of violence at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. We mourn the 11 members of the community taken from us too soon. We must continually recommit ourselves to fighting antisemitism, condemning hate speech and violent rhetoric, and to defending our shared humanity. Let us be light and instruments of peace.

Regardless of which war criminal becomes prime minister, Palestinians living under Israeli apartheid will continue to face genocide, land theft, and erasure. We cannot accept lies, excuses, or half-measures from our leaders. We must impose a full arms embargo and sanctions until Palestine is free.

Once again, Trump is singling out and insulting Jewish Americans who choose to vote against his agenda. We may have disagreements with Dr. El-Sayed, but we won't put up with Trump's antisemitism and Islamophobia.
